About the Role:
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing their product offerings and ensuring the reliability of their systems. You will maintain and improve existing firmware, develop new functionalities for embedded products, and engage in rigorous testing of firmware and software. In this collaborative environment, you will work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers, integrating innovative software solutions with advanced hardware components. In this role you will be required to work 40 hours per week.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
Maintain and support existing firmware across our product portfolio.
Develop new functionalities for embedded products using C embedded code.
Conduct extensive testing of firmware and software using scripts and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate effectively with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate software with hardware components.
Foster strong relationships with colleagues across departments to enhance product support and deliver outstanding customer service.
About you:
You will be a highly self-motivated, proactive, and organised individual who brings a positive and friendly attitude to the team. You should possess a knack for problem-solving, complemented by a methodical approach and keen attention to detail. Essential skills include a degree, HNC, or HND in Computer Science or Engineering, an interest in pursuing a career in embedded technology, familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Outlook, proficiency in English, and a valid right to work in the UK with a UK driving licence. Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced professional, a passion for embedded technology and a desire to make a difference in the field are essential.
