Job Description
Passionate about guest interaction, food and beverage? As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will lead your team to create unforgettable Food & Beverage experiences for our guests.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the Restaurant and bar while on shift.
You will supervise and manage the Food and Beverage team and assist with effective on-boarding and training ensuring there is continued support and development of the team.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) working on a rotating 7-day roster, with a wage of $29.11 per hour.
Key Duties:
Assisting in the smooth operation of the Food & Beverage department
Creating a seamless dining experience for our guests, making everyone feel welcome and valued
Constant communication with all departments
Ensuring all team members are confident and competent in selling menu items, beverage items and hotel services.
Supervise the team on duty to ensure they complete all duties and tasks and to ensure our guests receive the best possible guest experience
Supervising, guiding and training the team in departmental policy and procedures as well as product knowledge
Develop a sales approach and passion for driving and generating business
Promote and ensure strong communication of ALL (Accor Live Limitless) as a key loyalty benefits program.
Qualifications
Passion for customer service
Supervisory experience in a similar role
Proven experience in leading and motivating a team
Strong interpersonal skills both with internal and external customers
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure
Excellent time management and communication skills
Essential to be flexible with working hours, this role is based on a rotating 7-day roster. Morning shifts starting from 6am and Afternoon shifts from 3pm
A current GM Certificate or the ability to obtain one (candidates must have an LCQ certificate and 3 months of supervisory experience at a licensed premises in NZ) is preferred.
A first aid certificate is favourable.
NZ citizenship, permanent residency, or a current and valid work visa/permit. (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
