Overview:-
RSW are seeking a skilled operative to join our well-established Clients’ production operation reporting to the Stores/Despatch & Laser Supervisor.
This role involves operating laser and press brake machinery to produce high quality components, supporting and fulfilling production requirements.
The Role:-
• Work in an axle production environment operating laser and press brake equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow production schedules as required and complete all relevant documentation.
• Maintain a rate of production that meets the daily schedule/efficiency target.
• Perform complex programming and adjustments on press brake machinery.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and follow Work Instructions.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain equipment and all activities in a good and safe working condition.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Operate any required power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Compliance with all quality documents and procedures.
• Compliance with Company safety procedures and housekeeping requirements.
• Observe time keeping and absenteeism procedures.
• Work offsite as required.
• Work in any other area as deemed necessary by the Stores/Despatch & Laser Supervisor or General Manager.
Skills & Attributes:-
• Previous experience in a similar Laser/Press Brake Operator role.
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient in laser and press brake operations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good work ethic, reliability and honest approach.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
£27,193.83 rising to £27,846.81 following successful completion of probationary period.
38.5 hours per week (7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday / 7.30am to 2.00pm Friday)
