Are you an ambitious person who would like to kick-start your career with a growing boutique audit firm based in Gozo? We are currently seeking to recruit an Audit Assistant to be part of our growing team of professionals.
Tasks
Reporting to the Audit Senior/Audit Supervisor, your role would include the following duties and responsibilities:
Assist with the conduct of Audit and Assurance engagements.
Perform audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets, revenue, etc.
Assist with the preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with GAPSME and IFRS.
Perform other audit and assurance engagements, as may be required.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or interested in pursuing ACCA qualification or equivalent.
Experienced with standard software packages, proficient in MS Excel and prepared to learn company audit software.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Ability to work with a team and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High sense of ownership and desire to improve their skills Attention to detail and proactive in fulfilling their duties.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Previous basic experience in an accounting or audit position will be considered a must.
Candidates with knowledge of auditing standards, principles, and procedures will be given preference.
On the job training and mentoring will be provided based on the needs of the candidate.
