Job Summary:
We are actively seeking an energetic, experienced Manufacturing Engineer in our Rochester, NY facility. This key, high potential growth position is responsible for maintaining manufacturability and existing design support of released product and assisting with transition of products from R&D to the manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and sustaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems.
Design changes to existing product as required due to obsolescence, performance, or cost reduction.
Develop test methods and procedures to verify product compliance to published specifications for new and released products.
Act as liaison between R&D and manufacturing for efficient product release to manufacturing.
Actively involved with new designs to implement design for manufacturing techniques aimed at lowering final product costs.
Create, debug, enhance test software.
Construct and maintain digitalized manufacturing processes and databases.
Support production to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
Perform and manage the repair and rework of products.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree in Engineering with at least three years of manufacturing experience in an electronic manufacturing environment (Electrical or Computer Engineering Field preferred).
Experience in designing and building automated test equipment.
Working knowledge of digital and analog circuitry (design, test, troubleshooting).
Test equipment used: oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply, environmental chamber, load dump tester, etc.
Experience in using methodologies in support of manufacturing process improvement efforts.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably in process control or test and measurement instrumentation.
Design and program PCB bed of nails test fixtures.
Able to modify and write automation programs.
Utilized programming languages:
Basic, C, Java and others.
NI LabVIEW development experience.
Working knowledge of software and design platforms including but not limited to: CADStar, PADS and AutoCAD and/or Solidworks.
