    Job Title: One-to-one support TA - Dealing with complex needs

    Location: South Birmingham

    Salary: Dependent on experience.

    Contract Type: 2/3 days, 8:30 AM to 12:00PM. Short-term contract

    About them: We are working on behalf of a secondary school located in South Birmingham. The school has been rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. The school are dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.

    Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated One-to-One Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have very complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours. This role is crucial in helping these pupils achieve their full potential in a supportive and understanding environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide one-to-one support to pupils with complex SEMH needs.

    Develop and implement individualized support plans.

    Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

    Manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy.

    Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

    Monitor and report on pupils' progress and development.

    Requirements:

    Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.

    A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality.

    Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support (desirable).

    Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
