JOB SUMMARY
The current transcription project involves research for talk-to-text technology and transcribing audio in our online database. The task will be to listen to audio files, and type (transcribe) what you hear. Some labeling of segments is required. The transcription must be completed according to a set of guidelines that you will be provided upon acceptance. Transcribers will be assigned tasks of varying sizes (minutes) and paid per minute of audio transcribed. The workload is dependent on project needs.
Please note: the project is being coordinated via Upwork. All transcribers will need to have an Upwork profile. Candidates who do not already have an Upwork profile are welcome to apply, but will need to create a profile after being hired.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
These projects require a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Bilingual workers would be required to listen to audio containing two languages and then transcribe what they hear in both of the spoken languages. It is crucial that the written transcripts are accurately transcribed containing both writing systems.
