Male Health Care Aid / Respite
Our family has an immediate opening for a male Health Care Aides (HCA) in Red Deer to care for our disabled family member (41 year old, male) in the home, community and if it works, for overnight respite. The adult is developmentally delayed since birth, is able to walk (not in a wheel chair), is mostly non-verbal.
Can start immediately
Up to $35 per hour
Responsibilities:
Assist individual with personal hygiene such as showering, brushing teeth, changing clothes
Transportation, walking in the community, hanging out at home
Companionship
Can progress to overnight respite time as well if desired
We will work flexibly to find a schedule that works for both parties.
Requirements:
HCA Certificate
CPR Certificate - Health Care Level C
Police Clearance - Vulnerable Sector Search
At least 2 professional references
Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
