About the Role
I am seeking an Assistant Buyer to play an integral part in managing inventory and supporting stock replenishment for my Gloucester based client. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career within supply chain, and join a progressive and support team!
About you:
* Previous experience in a similar role (Assistant Buyer, Stock Controller, or related positions)
* A desire to learn and develop
* Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and drive
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
* Experience with SAGE (desirable but not essential)
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with placing purchase orders and managing stock replenishment processes
* Monitor and manage inventory levels across various locations
* Ensure products are available on time and within budget
* Support forecasting activities and adjust for new sales trends
* Maintain accurate records and data for all stock-related activities
* Produce reports and analysis as requested
* Monitoring overseas shipments and ensuring all necessary paperwork is processed for customs
* Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and adjusting forecasts based on sales and marketing data
* Participate in meetings and contribute to decision-making processes
* Occasionally visit warehouses, factories, or suppliers when required
