    Are you currently a leader of a DevOps platform team but still like to be hands-on in designing, building everything as versioned code, then this position is for you. We are seeking a highly experienced and driven individual to lead our DevOps and Platform engineering efforts. The ideal candidate should have extensive technical knowledge in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices, along with excellent leadership abilities. Initially, the role will focus on hands-on technical contributions, evolving into a leadership position as the team scales. Core Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP). Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software and IAC delivery. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible). Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability. Implement and enforce security best practices. Collaborate with development teams to optimise application performance. Hands-on implementation of infrastructure and automation solutions. Contribute to the development of platform engineering standards and best practices. Act as a leader within the team while also contributing individually to projects. Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges. Platform Engineering Specific Responsibilities (Evolving Responsibilities): Develop and execute the platform engineering strategy, aligning with business goals. Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers. Establish and enforce DevOps standards and governance. Manage cloud infrastructure costs and optimise resource utilisation. Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in DevOps or platform engineering. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP). Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI). Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform). Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) Understanding of networking and security principles. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Demonstrated leadership potential.
