**Platform Architect - Data**

**Location based: Bangkok, Thailand**
**Job Purpose**:
The Platform Architect is instrumental in shaping the organization's data platform strategy while leading the design, development, and implementation. This role involves understanding business processes, ensuring platform alignment with business goals, and integrating diverse business functions into a unified system. The Platform Architect ensures scalability, reliability, and adaptability of the platform to evolving business needs while upholding data integrity and security standards. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, they facilitate seamless platform deployment and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
1. Platform Design and Strategy
- Develop and maintain the organization's data platform architecture, ensuring alignment with current and future business requirements.
- Define platform standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability.
2. Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the selection, deployment, and management of hardware, software, and cloud resources within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Optimize infrastructure configuration for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
3. Security and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to data security and privacy principles, as well as compliance with industry standards and regulations.
4. Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and constraints.
- Communicate platform strategies, updates, and initiatives clearly and concisely to stakeholders across the organization.
5. Emerging Technologies
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly within the GCP ecosystem.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can enhance the functionality and capabilities of the data platform.
6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Drive innovation in platform design and architecture, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify areas for automation and process improvement to streamline platform operations and enhance user experience.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in platform architecture and cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certifications.
**Experience**:
- A minimum of 10 years in platform architecture and infrastructure management roles, with a focus on data platforms.
- Proven track record in designing scalable and secure platforms that support organizational objectives and technological advancements.
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services related to data management, including BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, and Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Skills in architecting and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines within the GCP ecosystem.
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions, database design, and working with large datasets.
- Proficiency in data integration, ETL processes, and automation within cloud environments.
- Understanding of data security and privacy principles, ensuring compliance with data governance and regulatory standards.
