Transport Planner
Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to become a key member of their growing team in Birmingham.
Situated in Birmingham, the modern office has good access to both major rail stations, the metro, and high frequency bus routes.

The position involves:
·The ability to prepare Transport Notes, Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans and Site Access Appraisals.
·An understanding of relevant local and national policy and guidance.
·The use of Junctions software (ARCADY and PICADY).
·Preliminary design of access, junction improvements and highways schemes using AutoCAD.
·The preparation of high-quality graphics using GIS packages and/or Corel Draw.
·Exposure to Project Management and client communication
Key skills required:
·Experience in the field of development transport planning.
·A member (or seeking to be) of a professional membership, such as CIHT or ICE.
·Accuracy and good attention to detail.
·High standard of work ethic and ability to use initiative.
·A formal education in either Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning.
