    Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

    Location: Leeds

    Salary: £38,700 + Additional on call pay per call out

    Hours:

    2 weeks: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (standard shift)

    1 week: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (afternoon shift)

    1 week on-call: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM shift, followed by on-call from 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

    Key Responsibilities:

    Ensure full compliance with company health and safety policies.

    Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, drivers, belts, pumps, and gearboxes.

    Experience with fault finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

    Familiarity with servo drives (desirable but not essential).

    Conduct routine servicing and urgent repairs on production machinery, plant, and equipment.

    Fault Find, diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

    Support new equipment installation and process improvements.

    Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair work.

    Provide emergency mechanical assistance during on-call shifts.

    About You:

    Proven background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

    Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and fault-finding techniques.

    Time-served apprenticeship or relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.

    Problem-solving mindset, teamwork and adaptability.
