    A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Financial Administrator to support financial operations. This role supports financial efficiency, compliance, and accuracy across multiple business units within a manufacturing environment. It is particularly suited for someone who has filled a similar role in an SME company who has taken on a variety of financial responsibilities and stepped up to support management accounts in their career history.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    * AAT qualified (minimum) or equivalent experience.

    * Extensive experience in financial administration within a manufacturing environment.

    * Strong background in supporting management accounting, including year-end procedures.

    * Experience in credit control, ensuring timely payments and managing outstanding balances.

    * Proficient in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel essential).

    * Experience in payroll administration and external payroll provider coordination.

    * Knowledge of HMRC compliance, including VAT returns, Intrastat, CIS, and tax digitalisation.

    * Familiarity with banking software and cashflow forecasting.

    * Ability to streamline finance systems and processes to improve efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities to support administration of the following:

    * Financial administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    * Preparation of management accounts, including journal entries for:

    * Generating trial balance reports and finalising monthly accounts.

    * Daily cashflow forecasting and monitoring of financial health.

    * Sales and order reporting to track business performance.

    * Credit control, managing customer accounts, chasing overdue payments, and reducing debtor days.

    * Payroll processing oversight, including submission of pension returns and tax payments.

    * Preparation and submission of HMRC data, ensuring compliance with VAT exemptions, digital tax requirements, and other statutory returns.

    * Invoice generation and reconciliation, aligning with the MRP system.

    * Continuous improvement of financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

    * Self-motivated, able to work independently and within a team.

    * Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

    * Strong organisational and time-management skills.

    * Adaptable and willing to support both the Finance team and the wider business.

    This role is ideal for a highly skilled financial administrator who has handled a broad range of finance tasks and progressed into supporting management accounting. The role is well-suited to someone in a manufacturing setting who enjoys working closely with senior leadership and taking ownership of financial processes.
