Our client is a market-leading Food Manufacturing Group currently looking to recruit a Material Technologist.
The role:
* You’ll be a technical expert in raw materials, with the skills to oversee the validation of all new raw materials from your previous food manufacturing employer
* Support department leadership with raw material and packaging specifications
* Assist with raw material non-conformances and troubleshooting investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and sustainable preventative actions are implemented to remove the risk of reoccurrence
* Whilst maintaining accurate data entry, you will be ensuring accurate creation and maintenance of all packaging bills of materials for the business
* We are seeking a technical expert in packaging, as you’ll be overseeing the validation of all new packaging ensuring it is sufficiently specified to ensure successful implementation
* You’ll be expected to lead all packaging non-conformance and troubleshooting investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and sustainable preventative actions are implemented to remove the risk of reoccurrence
* Working collaboratively, you will support the business’s innovation pipeline from a packaging perspective, ensuring new and innovative packaging is sourced and validated in line with the agreed critical paths
Candidate:
* You must have a degree (or equivalent) qualification in Packaging or a related Food / Scientific field
* Have a minimum of 3 years of Material Technology experience dealing with issues in a food manufacturing environment.
* You’ll have a proven track record of successfully working with packaging/raw materials from a technical viewpoint
* Have a strong knowledge of printing processes, artwork and packaging materials
* You’ll be competent in project managing your own workload
* We need an excellent communicator who has influencing skills at all levels within a business
* Due to the importance of information exchanges, you will need to have high attention to detail and accuracy of workability
* To be a cultural fit with the position and business, we see someone who has good Interpersonal skills and a professional team approach
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Computer literate
* Driven and embraces change
