ingredients for lemon lime coconut cake 🍋
🍰 [dry ingredients]
2 cups wholemeal flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp chia seeds
¼ cup sweetener of choice [optional]
🥣 [wet ingredients]
1¼ cup mineral/soda water
juice of 1 lemon 🍋
juice of ½ a lime
½ cup coconut yogurt 🥥
½ cup applesauce 🍎
½ tsp vanilla bean extract
1 tsp coconut extract [optional]
lots of lime zest

preheat oven to 200°C (390°F), or 180°C (360°F) if fan-forced • combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl • mix all wet ingredients together in another bowl • carefully fold the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients 🥣 • line 4 x 4 inch springform cake tins [or a deep baking sheet] with baking paper • pour cake batter into springform pans [or baking sheet] • bake for 40-45 minutes, or until skewer comes out clean when inserted • remove from oven and allow to cool 🍰 • serve with layers of coconut yogurt 🥥 [I used @coyo_organic coconut yogurt] + fruit 🍓🍋 or any topping you desire 🙈

Loaded & Cheezy Baked Potatoes (Oil Free) A flavorful & spicy cheeze sauce that uses creamy & dreamy cauliflower as its base. Taters are topped with sautéed mushroom, broccoli, & green onions.

Recipe for cheeze  sauce below👇❤What you need: 1 lb of raw cauliflower florets, 1/2 cup chopped carrots, 1/2 cup plant based milk, 1/4 cup nutritional yeast, 2 tbl sauerkraut juice, 1 tbl tapioca starch, 1 tsp allepo pepper flakes (can sub crushed red pepper), 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp salt, pepper What you do:
1️⃣ On stovetop, bring water to a boil, add salt, cauliflower, and carrots to pot. Cook on simmer 5-7 min until fork tender
2️⃣ Add cooked veggies to blender, add the rest of the ingredients, using tamper to help process. Then gradually bring blender to high, Blend 2-3 min till Until cheese becomes steamy. Enjoy with taters, use as a dip, or any where else you want some cheezy goodness 💛🧡💛🧡

Hello everyone 😊 Today is Eid, the muslim celebration for the end of Ramadan, the fasting month. And in Algeria on this day, we make cakes, a lot of cakes! The best cakes and sweets of the year, like proper cake making! I'm talking about a week of preparation, the most elaborate and unique cake making techniques and tools are all out in this time. We make loads to share with family and friends and they're so god damn good that it's hard to stop. Unfortunately, they are made with loads of flour, sugar and butter but the flavours of cinammon, orange blossom water, lemon zest, honey, rose water, vanilla, nuts are just divine 🙌 You walk the streets and smell the baking coming out of the houses. One of my dreams is to make raw vegan versions of all those favourite cakes so that people can indulge without feeling sick from the overlaod of sugar and butter. And I guess I kind of started 😊 So here is a glimpse into my dreams, and I know a lot of you are not familiar with North African Cuisine and Pastry so if you wanna get to know my Algerian roots a little, this will say a thousand words ✨♥️

✨RECIPE ✨for 12 rolls

🔸Step 1

Cut 6 ripe bananas in half lengthwise and dehydrate them for 12-18 hours

Make the filling, this is where the magic is! In a food processor or blender, throw in the following ingredients and blend until you get a nicely chopped up consistency that is like a sticky dough:

- 50g of coconut falkes
- 12 soaked brazil nuts or soaked and peeled almonds
- 1 tsp of cinnamon powder
- 3 tsp of orange blossom water
- 1 tbsp of raw honey or coconut nectar

🔸Step 3

Assemble. Spread 1 tsp of filling across each banana piece and roll up! Drizzle some honey or coconut nectar over and sprinkle some coconut flour on top, put it in your mouth, feel the bliss and bless me forever 🙏🏼✨🙌😊😁

I made a quick paste out of ginger, garlic and shallots and fried it off, then added the fish with soy and teriyaki sauce. Brought it up to the heat and topped it with pak choi, red peppers, radish and baby corn and sealed it with a lid and turned off the heat. Let it stand for 10 minutes to softly steam the veg! Served with noodles this really is a dish of its own. Nutritious and comforting. The fish provides so much omega 3 and fatty acids, the pak choi essential minerals and fibre. This is going to be featured in my cookbook!

Une petite recette créative et délicieuse pour un petit apéritif entre amis !
C’est une recette, très simple mais qui demande un peu de temps de préparation.
Du coup, il faut la préparer un peu en avance pour laisser reposer un peu le mélange, façonner les boules et les faire cuire.  Mais autant vous dire que ça en vaut la peine !

Golden Milk Latte 
This golden elixir is one of my favorites these days. I do a lot of yoga and the powerful anti-inflammatory effect of the turmeric is amazing for my joints and muscles. The many nutritional benefits of the turmeric are enhanced  and it is better absorbed when combined with black pepper and with a fat (activated almonds in this recipe). I drink it warm in the morning and often on ice for an afternoon snack. 
Ingredients:
Turmeric Root 
Ginger Root
Almonds (soaked, activated and blended into almond milk)
Black Pepper (for nutrient absorption)
Dates (for sweetness)
Cardamom or cinnamon (sprinkle on top) 
Blend, strain and enjoy

This was 🔥Rondón or Run down🔥 Rondón" is a term from the English Patuá Jamaican and the Sanandresan Creole that passed as it is to Spanish. It comes from run down. Like you gotta run down the ingredients for this typically coconut milk based fish ( mackerel , cod , shad ...) in coconut milk with garnish of yam, potato,onion. This si more of a run down of what we had in the fridge. . This golden elixir is one of my favorites these days. The powerful anti-inflammatory effect of the turmeric is amazing for my joints and muscles. As a yoga teacher I like to nourish my body with as many superfoods and nutrient dense healing foods as possible. The many nutritional benefits of the turmeric are enhanced  and it is better absorbed when combined with black pepper and with a fat (activated almonds in this recipe). I drink it hot in the morning and often on ice for an afternoon snack. 
Ingredients:
Turmeric Root (fresh picked)
Almonds (soaked, activated and blended into Almond milk)
Black Pepper (for nutrient absorption)
Dates (for sweetness)
Cardamom or cinnamon (sprinkle on top) 
Blend, strain and enjoy

yogafood In questi giorni tutto mi sembra in salita, faccio fatica a prendere decisioni e ho l'impressione di non riuscire a concludere niente. Come sempre quando la mente accelera il suo passo io metto in moto le mani : cucino, disegno, cucio.
Il fare con le mani ha su di me un potere terapeutico profondo, piano piano crea come una pausa e sebbene i pensieri rimangano tanti li prendo un po' meno sul serio e mi riporto al tempo del fare che è sempre e solo il tempo presente.

HUMMUS DI CAROTE: 
Ingredienti 
4/5 carote lavate e lessate
Succo di limone quanto piace 
2 cucchiai di tahini
1 cucchiaio di olio
Coriandolo fresco o prezzemolo
Sale, paprika dolce.

Frullate le carote col tahini, il succo di limone e un cucchiaio di olio ( se serve aggiungete qualche cucchiaio di acqua di cottura)
Aggiungete alla crema il trito di coriandolo  o prezzemolo, aggiustate  di sale e spolverate di paprika dolce.

Io ci ho fatto dei crostoni spalmandolo su del pane casereccio toscano e aggiungendoci fettine di avocado e semi di sesamo.

In questi giorni tutto mi sembra in salita, faccio fatica a prendere decisioni e ho l'impressione di non riuscire a concludere niente. Come sempre quando la mente accelera il suo passo io metto in moto le mani : cucino, disegno, cucio. Il fare con le mani ha su di me un potere terapeutico profondo, piano piano crea come una pausa e sebbene i pensieri rimangano tanti li prendo un po' meno sul serio e mi riporto al tempo del fare che è sempre e solo il tempo presente. HUMMUS DI CAROTE: Ingredienti 4/5 carote lavate e lessate Succo di limone quanto piace 2 cucchiai di tahini 1 cucchiaio di olio Coriandolo fresco o prezzemolo Sale, paprika dolce. Frullate le carote col tahini, il succo di limone e un cucchiaio di olio ( se serve aggiungete qualche cucchiaio di acqua di cottura) Aggiungete alla crema il trito di coriandolo o prezzemolo, aggiustate di sale e spolverate di paprika dolce. yogafood Thank you so much @sarah.louise.craig and @butter__belle for the yoga this morning!🙏🤩 I love trying different yoga classes, postures etc. Just like I love making new vegan dishes we haven’t had before! New to being vegan and still counting myself as a yoga novice, I am loving this state of being #mindbodysoul 💚 and I am enjoying #YogaChallenge2020 🙏 @sarahsmilesyoga which has put me in my discomfort zone of taking pics of me doing yoga 🙄. I realise you do learn a lot looking at photos though.....especially when I think I am doing postures correctly but actually I am not! 🤪 Today I enjoyed pigeon posture😊. I am loving the yoga challenge not only from my own photos but the inspiration from very experienced yogis! 🙏and it’s now Day 24! 👏

Following yoga I made this yummy smoothie... I always love my morning smoothie so my body can soak in the goodness of the fruit and whole food supplements for the rest of the day (protein, digestion plus, fibre, greens balance, blackberries frozen from last autumn, spinach, flax seed etc!) (scroll across and you will see!) 🌟

Cooking plans for this week - I can’t wait for local nut butters to arrive and try new recipes with them 😋

Look at these ⭐️ beautiful “Strawberry Ice Popsicles” 💦💦 made of : 
Layer 1 - strawberries (obviously) 3 cups
- 1 orange juice - 1 grapefruit juice - maple syrup is optional 
Layer 2
- coconut milk (small can) - vanilla pod - maple syrup optional too ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Blend and pour the first layer into mould - add layer number 2 and freeze for 4 hours !

きっと品薄な中イレギュラーで入荷したんだろうなぁと
推測したので 
ネット検索してみました

そしたら 
#グラスフェッドバター でした #なるほど 
飼料育ちではなく 
牧草育ち🐄 です 
最近ご無沙汰だったギーを 
この無塩バターで作ってみたくて
お取り寄せで買い求めました ・

やはり 
いつもと 全く違う 
何もかも が 
育てられ方が違うと 
血肉、ミルクまで 
変わります ・
・
いつものよつ葉やカルピスとは 
比べ物にならないほど 
パンチがある 
動物感がある 風味 
けれど ギーになった途端 
爽やかに香るいつもの感じ 
今回のバターは
オーガニック育ちではない 
と、思うのと 
輸入品 なので 
なんとも言えませんが 
でも、
食塩入りのバターを食べた時 
昔食べたバターを思い出したんです 
給食で出ていた あの
金色の包み紙の四角いバター 
大きなおかずの下に置いて 
温め溶かしてパンに塗ってた 
あの”溶けたら真っ黄色い”バター 
あの時の風味を 
思い出しました 
すごい昭和感😆笑 ・

きっと全てに言えるのだと
思うのですが 
今のモノって「きれい」なのでしょうね

Dash of salt

yogafood I baked this vegan chocolate beetroot cake a few weeks ago, but it was so delicious that my family asked for it several times. This time I improved the recipe and added some chopped dark chocolate to the dough and made a chocolate glazing. Now the chocolate cake is even more mellow and tasteful.

Recipe
200g cooked beetroot 
300g spelt flour 
150g grounded hazelnuts 
65g coconut blossom sugar 
1 tsp cinnamon 1 TL Zimtpulver
pinch of salt I eine Prise Salz
tsp tartar powder I 3 TL Weinsteinpulver
4 sp cacao I 4 EL Kakaopulver
100ml oatmilk or almondmilk 
2 sp maple syrup 
100ml sunfloweroil
100 dark chocolate 
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease the baking form with oil. Blend the cooked beetroot.
Mix the dry ingredients. Then add the wet ingredients. Add the beetroot and and half of zhe copped chocolat. Fill the dough in the baking form. Bake the cake for ca. 35 minutes and let it cool down. Melt the rest oft he chocolate and drip a chocolate net on top of the cake. Let is cool down completly before eating.
