CROSSING THE COUNTRY
Front Royal, Virginia
> THURSDAY <
Darrell is still attacking more small projects in the coach. We enjoyed a chicken sandwich with chips for lunch. Took advantage of the remainder of the afternoon to relax...
> FRIDAY - Part 1 <
Started the morning with a hearty breakfast! Darrell and Bella took a short walk before we started the day. Drove to Front Royal to visit The Warren Rifles Confederate Museum, owned and operated by a chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. It features rare relics and records of the Civil War, including guns, swords, battle flags, uniforms, rare documents, pictures, personal and domestic items, memorabilia and artifacts that trace their roots from 1861 to 1865. Exhibits also include memorabilia of Belle Boyd, Mosby's Rangers, Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis and others. Well worth the visit if you are at all interested in the history of the American Civil War.
