The key foundations of this pose are all elements of downward facing dog. The weight should be distributed evenly through the hands and the feet. From all angles this pose should pretty much look like downward facing dog. The most challenging aspect of this pose is to not over tip or tilt the weight into the left side of the body and the left shoulder is heavily burdened with most of the body weight (if the right leg is raised the weight tilts over to the left side and vice versa) Keeping the weight distributed equally in both shoulders, hands and the grounding foot is the most challenging part of this Asana I find it has very little to do with the raised leg.

Beautiful weather in Rome, and in between shows at work, I try to do bits of stretching, yoga, body work, little naps, anything to keep me from getting groggy, as it’s always a tough long day in Italian TV! Neck and shoulders been sore intermittently since my triathlon, but this helped a lot. Also did some back rolling with the Felix Tao double-ball.
