• ZERO WASTE • My 1st attempt at a #zerowaste design. This bag is made entirely from two gorgeously soft, vintage Linen Tea Towels. 🌸
Making it was a work in progress, adding design features as I went until I’d used up all the fabric. ✂️ Admittedly, I had a few tiny swatches remaining so I came up with the idea for a Repair Kit to extend the life of the bag. A bag to be cherished + mended 🙂💛
I’m pretty happy with the prototype.. Would love to know your thoughts ✨

Everyone must be bored of this dress because it’s hands down my fave and most worn. So to help me become a more mindful maker I’m breaking down what makes this my fave dress over on my stories.

It was the first time I mixed two colorful linens, and I love the result. This backpack has memories of our trip to Vinhais, through the oak leaves I used for stamping the linen, which then served as a background for the embroidery work. It's a vertical pattern, large enough for a laptop, some clothes or to be a maternity backpack. It's available in the Shop (link in profile).
Beautiful handmade beads.
Join me in a Fibre Alchemy workshop on 9th August @capetownyarnfest from 2-4pm.
You will learn how to make and embellish beautiful beads.
I will provide you with materials to create a set of stitch markers or earrings and more.
I so look forward to meeting you and setting you off on a magical journey!

This beautiful piece was created by an absolute beginner at One of our RESIN ART WORKSHOPS - August & September classes are now open for bookings on our website.
We have a HUGE selection of pigments, use only the highest quality resin and you get a 50cm board to work on.
Book through links in our post or through our bio.
I made this eco set as a gift for my mother's birthday, inspired by another I made last year. For this one I had little time available, so I decided to buy the smaller bags (for veggies and fruit) pre-made, and simply print them with natural leaves, stamps and stencil. For the large tote bag I used a combo of bordeaux linen and a canvas that belonged to my grandmother. The larger drawstring bag (for bread) was made by me, in ecru cotton, and printed with hydrangeas leaves from my mom's garden (which were planted by my grandmother in the first place). Three generations of women linked by flowers...
I was so happy when I got this request, as I've been wanting to make more waist bags since the one I made 2 years ago for my mom, and still hadn't the chance to do so. It was the perfect excuse to improve patterns and think again of adding some more to the Shop. Meanwhile, I leave you with this custom made bag, in denim blue linen with a beautiful garden.

These brioche knit scarves have become a staple for me. They knit up fairly quickly, and they're so soft and warm.
I've been working with this pattern for a while now, and I think my next big project will be a brioche knit blanket.
Often when we are young we find these activities that we dig, pun intended. Mine was horticulture, where I took a two year course in high school and learned how to garden, make flower arrangements and kill an entire greenhouse of carnations. Yes, I did that and I’m sure my friend Tina will be around here soon to call me “Marcie the Murderer”. .
My love for gardening has continued to grow into an obsession, lets just call it for what it is. No shame in my gardening game. I’ve personally witnessed my health transform by eating a clean diet rich in fruits and veggies, a regular yoga practice and using my own skin care creations that are plant-based. Seriously folks, I looked older in my 30’s than I do in my 40’s. The skin is meant to breathe. Breath is life. .
KURE365 is all about simple ingredients using as much from nature as possible. Who has time for a 5 step skin care routine? Not this girl. .
Want to transform your skin? Hop over to kure365skincare.com and get started with the Rosemary & Rose Mist. Like a successful diet or workout, apply daily to see results and you will, I guarantee it. .

This book or notebook case was a custom order, which included Jean-Baptiste Massieu's quote "Gratitude is the memory of the heart". In order to better manage the available space, I wrote the quote with fabric pen inside the case. Outside, a bouquet of flowers painted and embroidered in soft, feminine and joyful colors.
This weekend I was talking about this organic Australian tea recipe which I mix myself ( because I couldn’t get the imported one I loved) and they said I should be selling it -this has been said a few times. Starting to wonder if I should listen... mind you it is my go-to gift 🎁. Not sure if some things are just better given away. #selfnuture#maker#slowliving#teamaking#melbournemaker#mindfulness#mindfulmaker
