“I just don’t have time to meal prep...”
I hear this from so many people!
Meal prep doesn’t have to be elaborate or expensive. Today’s prep was done in 30 minutes!
Breakfast: @kodiakcakes and chicken sausage. Literally microwave and you’re done!
Lunch: chicken and veggie bowls. I air fry the chicken, cut into pieces, and weigh it out into containers. The veggies are frozen or canned. I’ll add sauce (salsa, hot sauce, sf bbq, etc) as I eat them. I also had extra chicken that I’ll use for some dinners. -
Snacks: rice cakes, yogurt, protein bars... these are all super convenient options to have on hand.
👉🏻Don’t over think it! Start small! I recommend, if nothing else, prep protein to have ready to go. Chicken, lean beef, and turkey are all great options that are versatile.
👉🏻Having easily accessible snacks and foods on hand makes sticking to your plan even easier.
👉🏻Prep foods that you enjoy and look forward to eating!

So before I learned what macros were I used to label foods as good and bad. And I thought- there is no way in HELL I am willing to give up my sweets!! (Ya girl loves her some 🍫) Now I look at food for what it is: it’s something to eat. Everything has a certain count of macro nutrients and I’ve learned I require a certain amount of those to function and now to build strength. Now, some foods are better in the MICRONUTRIENTS department, that is true, but at the end of the day I know I can confidently squeeze in a sweet or two throughout the day and still fall within my healthy range of macros. Here are some of my favorites though. Pulled from many of my favorite IG fitness accounts. Yes, I weigh it all out using a food scale and some look at that as “restrictive” but I have to say I feel so much more freedom- I can eat that ice cream and those spoonfuls of peanut butter and I know I will still hit my target for the day and reach my goals. If that isn’t freedom then I don’t know what is 🤷🏻♀️🙌🏽

✨Después de tanto tiempo, despertó en mí un sentimiento que creía extinto, pensaba que todo ese amor solo le pertenecía a él, y que se lo había llevado hasta la tumba, y me aferraba porque no saliera de allí, porque él era el único que podía cuidarlo y merecerlo, a sabiendas que él ya no vivía más.

Me sentí viva de nuevo, y pensé que era el momento para poder decir adiós, y darle la bienvenida a esto llamado amor.
Pero no fue así, llegué demasiado tarde, y él ya había decidido partir.
Dolió, y mucho.
Pero a la vez me sentí libre, ahora sé que puedo continuar, sin que mis muertos me estén hundiendo.
Puedo retomar lo que me hacía feliz, como inhalar cocaína mientras espero a fotografíar el atardecer, ¡bromi!, pero sí puedo continuar sin que el recuerdo me esté matando.
No creí que de sentir amor y desilusión a la vez, sentiría tanta calma.

Been craving a sweet and spicey bacon burger from whataburger, but with just now starting the reverse diet after the show need to keep on track. So decided to make my own burger!
1. 90/10 bison- 150 grams
2. Sauté white onion- 20 gram
3. Pepperidge farm potato buns 1 bun- 53 gram
5. @ghughessugarfree sweet and spicey sauce- 30 gram
6. Colby pepper jack cheese- 19 grams
7. Regular bacon- 15 grams
Total macros for this meal:
Protein- 47 grams
Carbs- 30 grams
Fat- 26 grams
With my current macros I am able to use a little more fat for this meal, however you can make this meal even healthier by substituting the bacon with turkey bacon, doing a fat free or reduced fat cheese, using a leaner meat, and also lower carb bun!
5 days of work and then a week off🙌 All year my vacation time has been used to take care of sick Griffin, so it will be nice to have some time off for me🙋♀️ Making every workout count from here until the new year!

#MuffinMonday is in full effect over here, thanks to some bananas who decided to go the distance. 🍌😛
These gems have no added sugar (besides the vegan chocolate chips 🍫) + are gluten/soy/dairy-free, which makes them the perfect healthy option to have on hand for busy mornings - or as a snack! 🤗 I highly recommend prepping them ahead of time, and you can easily double the recipe to pop some into the freezer, too. 👍

- Will I be able to tweak this diet once I reach my goal to maintain my results?

I haven’t been here in a while, it feels strange to even post. I’ve been working on myself a lot. Weight loss, while important, has taken a back seat to memories, self improvement, and planning for 2020. I’m not losing all the weight I’ve wanted, I’m nowhere near where I planned, but honestly I feel pretty good. In the grand scheme of things- I’m DOWN weight. I’ve still lost almost 25lbs. It’s still a negative trajectory. THATS what’s important. I know it’s not going to come off in 6 months, 8 months, 1 year. It takes time to make changes that last. I’m not in for a quick fix. I’m in it to teach healthy habits and a strong mindset to my girl. So I may not be here every day, I may not work out every weekday, I may not hit my macros like I always should.. but I consistently show up and don’t allow bad meals, days, or weeks deter me from returning to this lifestyle. So, my goals have changed. Yes, again, weight loss is crucial and super important, but terribly slow... so I’m going to start doing weekly goals not weight loss related to help celebrate my progress in other ways.
Goal of the week: eat a vegetable 5x this week (yup, it’s that bad. I literally haven’t had a vegetable in a meal on a consistent basis in ... never lol so this is HUGE for me). 🌽 🍅 🥬 🥗
