During the 2015-2016 academic year, I was living in Boston, attending one of the most prestigious music schools in the world.

I felt so purposeful, but I was overbooking myself like crazy.

From being in class six days a week, to living in a mold-infested apartment, the combination of less than optimal lifestyle choices, toxins, traumas, pathogens (e.g., Epstein-Barr virus), adrenaline, and more, were all starting to severely effect me.

One symptom that really got to me during this time was my anxiety. It manifested in the form of hours-long, debilitating panic attacks.

I remember being bound to a chair, crying my eyes out for hours, because of these episodes.
⠀⠀
And they happened almost every week of the semester (15 weeks), multiple times per week.
⠀⠀
Not to mention I was also overweight (225 at my heaviest, and 200 pounds here), verging on hypoglycemia, all the while trying to navigate ADHD, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, depression, and more.

Eventually I had reached a point of such burnout, that when my email came notifying me to register for classes the following semester, I didn’t even open it up.
⠀⠀
I knew I needed to go home, and I knew I needed to heal.
⠀⠀
So I went home, curtailed the healing process for a period of time, and then found @medicalmedium.

Combine raw honey, cashew butter, vanilla and salt in a large bowl. Stir well. Add the brown rice cereal and mix with a spatula until combined.

Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper and pour mixture into the dish. Press down with the spatula to smooth everything out, then place the dish in the refrigerator. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, until the bars have hardened, then remove and cut into bars. Best kept in the fridge.

Ingredients:
2 lbs (6-7 cups) chopped watermelon
1/4 cups lime juice
1/2 tbsp lime zest 
1/4 cup maple syrup or raw honey - optional

Directions:
Add the watermelon, lime juice, lime zest and maple syrup/honey to a blender and blend until smooth.

Pour the mixture into a shallow glass or ceramic pan. Freeze for at least 2 hours, then start breaking up the ice crystals with a fork every 30 minutes until you get a crunchy, slushy-like texture.

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer until needed.

1/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp lemon juice
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
2 tsp alcohol-free vanilla extract

Coating:
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup coconut sugar
_
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix together the cinnamon and coconut sugar to make the coating. Set aside.

Place the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, sea salt and cinnamon in a medium-sized bowl and whisk until combined. Add the lemon juice, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla and stir until you get a uniform dough. If the mixture is too wet, add a bit more coconut flour.
_
Scoop out heaping tablespoons of the dough and roll into balls. Roll them in the cinnamon coconut sugar and place on the parchment paper. Flatten gently with your palm or the bottom of a glass.

Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes, until slightly browned on the bottom.

For instance the title very specifically points out this is a high fat PLUS high carb diet...however during the rest of the article they continually refer to the diet as high fat! Showing an inherent bias in someone's vernacular.
A HF/HC diet is essentially the doughnut! Otherwise known as the standard American diet(SAD). However, the author wants to assume fat is the problem. In science you cannot assume anything. I also searched high and low for the composition of the diet which is EXTREMELY important in any diet control study. Is this soybean oil or butter? Margarine or olive oil? What are the macros? These are questions that if not answered render a study void to me. 
On the surface I agree with the fact that a HF/HC diet isn't good for anyone, but even with that being said you always have to look out for confirmation bias and understand the mechanisms before blindly believing in the headline...NEW STUDY SHOWS!

For health maintenance, enjoy 1 tablespoon per day. For assistance in recovering from a cold or flu, enjoy 1 tablespoon 3 times per day. Elderberry syrup stays good for 2-4 weeks in a sealed jar in the fridge.

I love stuffing wraps full of healthy greens and salad. I enjoy eating them this way so much more than having a regular salad. And wraps are so convenient. My daughter packed hers to go as she was heading out the door.

I have tried other tortilla/wrap recipes but none of them turned out as nice as this recipe. The flavour isn’t overpowering and they are flexible and wrap up beautifully.

What is it trying to show us, teach us and help us see? 🤷🏼‍♀️ .

Today I realize what patterns I’m still following that no longer serve my highest power. 🙌🏻 .

I found myself in a situation where I felt uncomfortable. Instead of speaking my mind, I fell into a moment of weakness. I went back to this shy girl, unable to utter what was really cycling through my thoughts. For the sake of not wanting to hurt another’s feelings, but this caused discomfort in myself.  I fell out of my truth and power. ✨

In the past I have carried unworthiness and fear, and this is what I manifested into my life✨

Showing up in personal and business relationships. Ending up feeling alone, walked on, or hurt✨

If we manifest what energy we are saying, thinking, feeling and believing either subconsciously or consciously. I ponder the question, am I still holding onto these energies? 🤔

I thank the universe for showing me this today. For bringing a deeper awareness of why some experiences replay over and over again. To have the opportunity to move through these energies, and allow more space to open up for love and worthiness♥️ .

Our souls are unconditional love. They are inside of us, holding every piece of who we are, reminding us everyday that we hold the ultimate power, we are unconditional love, and are capable of anything. 
Let go and Be LOVE! 🙏🏻😍
