Moving clouds at Mandalika Beach in Kuta, Lombok.
Mandalika is actually not just the beach here, but also the name of a huge development scheme, stretching along the south coast east and west of Kuta. It aims to create a tourism region (as one of multiple others in Indonesia) to counteract the effect of the neighbouring island of Bali. There is a lot of construction work going on and many properties are being sold, so within a couple of years we will probably see a huge transformation here. For many locals this already shows its effects already now, so they can't use parts of their beach as they used to.

🇲🇨Indonesia🇲🇨Part⛱️1️⃣3️⃣🌊 Kuta (Lombok) is the place you should visit if you like surfing, snorkeling, beautiful beaches, and realaxing atmosphere, Located in the south part of Lombok island this place offers many activities and attractions not only in kuta area but all over Lombok island.
The different activities and attractions are endless from surfing at one of the amazing beaches such as : Seger Beach, Mawun Beach Rp10.000 ($.070), Semeti Beach, Lancing Beach, Mawi Beach Rp10.000 ($0.70), Selong Belanak Beach, Nambung Beach, or many other Beaches along the southern coast of Lombok, if you want to explore the coast line there are amazing panoramic view points like : Gunung Ebuak, Bukit Pedau, and Bukit Bongo (Merese Hill). There are many restaurants and food stalls all around Kuta, just pick if you prefer western food or local food, price would be around Rp15.000 ($1) to Rp150.000 ($10.7)
Getting around Kuta is possible by local Scooter drivers and taxis but would be quite pricy, you can rent your own scooter from Rp40.000 ($2.8) to Rp100.000 ($7) depending on the size of the engine and the length of time you will rent it for, its even possible to rent a scooter for only half a day for around Rp30.000 ($2). The variety of Accommodation options is very wide from budget Backpakcer hostels to fancy resorts which cost around Rp45.000 ($3.2) to Rp3.000.000 ($215). Insiders tip - if your not looking to surf and you want to relax on the beach and swim a little, most of the Beaches are very rough and the tide is quite strong, the beaches that are more calm usually are around Buwun Mas village or Selong Belanak beach.

Kuta Bali ou Kuta Lombok ? Quelle question ! What a question! Between mass tourism and traditional village, I immediately made my choice. Kuta Lombok offers fabulous panoramas with white sand beaches and beautiful surf spots. Ride a scooter (make sure the brakes work😄) but watch out the road... we saw on our way a big lizard, monkeys and oxen that our horn has absolutely not disturbed, not to mention an electric pole felt on the road. In the evening, the warungs display their fish of the day ... the hardest for you will certainly be to choose your fish 😋😉😍 #kutalombok#selongbelanak#lombok#exploringlombok#baliautrement#lovelombok#lovebali#travelasia#travelogue#travellingtheworld#travelingtheglobe#jeneveuxpasrentrer
