🔥 Some of the most common questions I get involve weight loss! There is so much confusion when it comes to losing weight. But really, if that’s your goal, on the surface, the process should be quite simple. Unfortunately today we are saddled with stress, sleep debt, and a food supply that often seems intent on working against us.
💪🏼 I made this simple graphic to highlight some of the less obvious ways you may be holding on to extra lbs.
🍃 Perhaps the most effective way to lose weight is to *not* go on a diet but to shift your lifestyle toward healthier habits. Yes, cutting out starchy carbs and processed foods which drive your hunger is a great primary strategy. But lifestyle also plays a major role in how our hormones regulate our weight.
🥐🍞🥖 While any calorie deficit will lead to weight loss, lowering carbs keeps your hunger more stable by allowing your blood sugar to stay consistent. And, it allows you to enjoy higher levels of growth hormone which helps to preserve your muscle.
🥚🍗🍖 Increasing your protein not only induces greater satiety than fat and carbs but it stimulates muscle protein synthesis and also provides a greater thermic effect which causes your metabolism to ramp up (this may provide low carb, higher protein diets with a slight “metabolic advantage” over lower protein moderate carb diets, but this is controversial).
🥑🥥 And finally adding healthy fats to your diet is great for satiety and filling out your calories, but the calories in fat can still add up leading to a hypercaloric (more calories than you are burning though) state!

Bolo fácil fácil de ser feito! A massa dele é batida no liquidificador e a cobertura nem vai ao fogo 😏. 🔝🔝.
🍋Bolinho de limão 🍋
Ingredientes para a massa:
🔹3 ovos (sem a pele da gema)
🔹 2 xícara de chá de farinha de aveia (usei uma que é sem glúten).
🔹1/3 xic de chá de óleo de coco.
🔹1 gelatina diet sabor limão (usei a da marca linea! É a única que realmente é zero açúcar).
🔹1 potinho de iogurte desnatado.
🔹1/3 xic de chá de adoçante em pó (uso eritritol).
🔹1/3 xic de chá de água.
🔹1 csopa de fermento em pó.
Bata primeiramente os ovos no liquidificador. Depois acrescente os ingredientes líquidos!
Bata até formar uma massa homogênea.
Acrescente a gelatina em pó e o adoçante e misture novamente.
Coloque a farinha de aveia e mexa até formar uma massa homogênea.
Finalize colocando o fermento em pó.
Unte uma forma, coloque a massa e leve ao forno (pré-aquecido) 200 graus por 40 minutos. .
🍋Ingredientes da cobertura🍋:
🔹1 lata de creme de leite (uso o da Nestlé!! E gosto do de latinha)
🔹1 limão espremido.
🔹Adoçante a gosto (opcional). Misture o creme de leite com o suco do limão e com o adoçante. Deixe parado na geladeira por 30 minutos e prontinho! .

FINALLY got to exercise again today!!! I can’t even explain how busy I have been lately. Working almost 24-7 this past month between my job and coaching, launching big projects at work, poor nutrition because I didn’t have time to go grocery shopping, little sleep (because... I’m too busy working) no time to do any sort of cleaning at home and the one that pains me the most... little to no time for exercise. 😰 .
And even better, the weather we have had so far this summer is beyond crazy. It’s either raining and storming like crazy or it’s insanely hot! Almost too hot to want to be outside unless there is a pool or lake nearby. Go figure lol. .
But tonight, it felt INCREDIBLE to get out and go for a run! My 5k is in ONE WEEK and I’ve been feeling nervous because I haven’t ran since the 4th of July. So tonight was super reinsuring that I’ve got it and I’m going to crush my run next weekend. .
Here’s to one more week of training and trying to keep a healthy lifestyle with my busy work schedule! .

Deadlift session from this past week. Deadlifts progressing big time as I cut but squats are suffering a bit. Bench is still my goat movement hehe. These bodybuilding workouts have really tested my work capacity and I’m glad to see it improving. Finishing up my 3rd week! Excited to start dieting up and growing. I really believe @giraffebrah and I can bring some serious competition to 2021.

Want to start off by intoducing myself for those who dont know me and follow me and thank you guys for the support. ✊
My name is Gerardo and i am 23 years old and the main purpose i decided to start an instagram was to inspire and motivate others into a healthier lifestyle (mentally, physically, socially and etc.) The main reason behind it is because i know what it feels like to struggle in life and how frustarating it feels ,but remember its part of the process. At the age of 3 i was diagnosed with cancer (wilstumor) and lost a kindey in the process. Growing up my childhood was difficult due to the fact that i saw myself as inferior to others due to the fact that i was told that i was incapable of completing certain tasks ecpecially physically. It wasnt easy being told you cant do somehting you love so much (sports). Sports were my outlet from reality the only thing that made me feel like i belonged. As i grew older i devoloped ptsd, anxiety, stress, anxiety (panic attacks) and saw myself as worthless. I had a hard time accepting myself and involving myself into any activities (socially, physically, and mentally). i considered myself as a loner and an outcast. After years of therapy and medications, it wasnt until i turned 22 that i turned my life around and committed into improving myself. I changed my life completely by changing my diet (vegan), i also committed myself into meditation, i work out 6 to 7 days out of the week, and simply live a healthier lifestyle. I have committed to improve myself everyday and through my journey help others with the same intentions and have dealt similar struggles. I am inspired to inspire others and motivate them through their journeys. So believe in the process and embrace your journey. 💪 🔑
