God places God sized dreams in God-shaped hearts!⠀
When we remember to lead our hearts by God's word and abiding in Christ’s Spirit- it will always be the best direction to follow. Scripture illustrates that when we are faithful with what He's given us, then we can be entrusted with more. And there is so much more He wants to do in your life!⠀
While the world battles for our mind, we can choose to surrender our motivations and desires to be shaped by Him each day. So may we have hearts that love what He loves, breaks for what breaks His and stands for the beautiful truth of the gospel. ⠀
DOUPLE TAP if your claiming this affirmation with us this morning! 🙋♀️

It’s a fine line sometimes between wallowing and healing. Currently going through a huge transition and processing the loss of what I thought I had and what I thought I was working towards. It is painful, and I’ve cried daily for a little over a month. I’ve also been proactively doing everything I can to take good care of myself. I signed up to three weeks of unlimited yoga classes so that I could let go and be guided. I moved somewhere that gives me a fresh start. I’ve surrounded myself with hands down the most incredible group of humans who have given me so much love and support that I am truly blown away. I’ve called friends and family whenever I feel my thoughts spiralling. I sobbed this morning, washed my face and treated myself to a yummy coffee and a sit in the sunshine looking at the river. I’ve been writing 10 things I’m grateful for every 1-2 days. I am doing these things (and am open to any suggestions!) because I don’t want this hurtful situation to change me for the worst. I don’t want to become bitter, or lose my faith in love or my positivity because of someone else’s actions. It’s not easy, and I’m battling those negative thoughts daily and sometimes I lose. My goal is to win the war and get through this process feeling stronger, happier, healthier and with more faith than when it started. I don’t know if anyone else can relate, if you can please be gentle with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Be proud of yourself. Surround yourself with loving friends and family. Stay true to yourself. •
Are You Discouraged or Devoted?
By Oswald Chambers …Jesus…said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have…and come, follow Me." But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich. —Luke 18:22-23
Have you ever heard the Master say something very difficult to you? If you haven’t, I question whether you have ever heard Him say anything at all. #Jesus says a tremendous amount to us that we listen to, but do not actually hear. And once we do hear Him, His words are harsh and unyielding.
Jesus did not show the least concern that this rich young ruler should do what He told him, nor did Jesus make any attempt to keep this man with Him. He simply said to him, “Sell all that you have…and come, follow Me.” Our Lord never pleaded with him; He never tried to lure him— He simply spoke the strictest words that human ears have ever heard, and then left him alone.
Have I ever heard Jesus say something difficult and unyielding to me? Has He said something personally to me to which I have deliberately listened— not something I can explain for the sake of others, but something I have heard Him say directly to me? This man understood what Jesus said. He heard it clearly, realizing the full impact of its meaning, and it broke his heart. He did not go away as a defiant person, but as one who was sorrowful and discouraged. He had come to Jesus on fire with zeal and determination, but the words of Jesus simply froze him. Instead of producing enthusiastic devotion to Jesus, they produced heartbreaking discouragement. And Jesus did not go after him, but let him go. Our Lord knows perfectly well that once His word is truly heard, it will bear fruit sooner or later. What is so terrible is that some of us prevent His words from bearing fruit in our present life. I wonder what we will say when we finally make up our minds to be devoted to Him on that particular point? One thing is certain— He will never throw our past failures back in our faces.
All of God’s commandments are fulfilled in the commandment to love.⠀
To see how all commandments are “briefly comprehended in” the commandment to love thy neighbor (Romans 13:9), make a list of all the commandments you can think of. What is the relationship between loving God and our neighbor and obeying each of the commandments listed on the board? How does this truth change the way we think about commandments and obedience?
