In an age where validation comes from others, be nicer to yourself. ♥️ Confidence in yourself is key! Everyone is different in their own unique way.

I ALWAYS had chubby cheeks (still do). The 2 photos above are 3 years apart. My cheeks would make me look heavier than I actually was and I was sooo insecure over it. I'd compare myself to other girls and only focus on my flaws rather than my STRENGTHS. .

Over the years, as corny as this sounds focusing on my strengths has let my confidence grow.  What's your favorite thing about yourself? How are you unique? It's all about positive thoughts all while continuing to grow and take care of yourself, physically and mentally. .
My mom always told me, a fuller face with plump cheeks can make you look youthful and healthy. Embrace your flaws! No one is perfect.

Avocado contains fiber, copper, folate, and potassium. The fruit also contains Vitamin K, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6. That’s a lot of B-Vitamins! I get this question a lot. The answer? 
Is it for you? Why do you want to try it? If the goal is to heal your body, have more energy, reach a healthy weight (for you, not everyone else) - then go for it. 
Be curious. Try different styles of eating. If it isn’t a diet full of processed food and your doc says you are all clear to try new things - try it. 
Don’t worry about what your Aunt Betty or best friend will think. YOU don’t know if something will help YOU until YOU try it. 
For me it was eating lower carb/paleo-ish. I believed with all my heart that you had to have whole grains and lots of carbs if you were going to be working out. 
But I do sooooooo much better when I eat lower carb and whole foods. Like less aches and pains, more energy, little to no headaches, and no IBS problems. 
If I would have listened to my family and friends I would have never gotten to experience that. 
So stay curious my friends and listen to your body - it will tell you what is working or isn’t working.

healthylivingtips 🍜 Sweet and Spicy Udon Noodle Stir-Fry by @thefoodietakesflight 
Good for 2-3 servings

400g (2 cakes) cooked udon noodles* 
1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 240g block extra firm tofu, drained and sliced into strips
½  large onion, sliced into strips
1 small carrot, sliced into strips
4 cups (200g) shredded cabbage 
1 tbsp neutral oil
Sesame seeds, for garnishing
Chopped spring onions, for garnishing
*Note Feel free to use other noodles if you’d like!

Sauce Ingredients
2 tbsp soy sauce or liquid aminos
1 ½  tsp sriracha, adjust according to desired spice
¼  cup room temp. water
3 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
½  tbsp cornstarch

1. Heat the oven to 350F. On a lined baking tray, bake the tofu until lightly golden for around 25 mins. You can opt to pan fry the tofu in some oil if you’d like.
2. Mix all the sauce ingredients together. Make sure the cornstarch is diluted.
3. Heat a pan. Add in 1 tbsp oil. Sauté the onions until tender. Add in the bell peppers, carrots, and cabbage. Sauté until cooked, around 10 minutes. 
4. Add in the tofu and cooked noodles. Pour in the sauce mixture. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the noodles have absorbed the sauce. Turn off heat and then garnish with some sesame seeds and spring onions, if desired. Enjoy while hot!

Travelling looks all fun until you have to think about using those ugly public washrooms. We, as girls understand that the struggle with squatting and peeing is real - Been there done that?
Plus on top of everything else, splashbacks are the worst flashbacks that you don't want to recall in your life.
I mean, what, why did it even happen in the first place, why me 🤪😵 As a frequent traveler, there are times when I am staying in hostels sharing common washrooms or camping in the mountains/ deserts or even at places where there is water scarcity or no supply of water at all, forget about clean washrooms - that's a distant dream.

Given whatever is the situation, nothing has stopped me from exploring new places without worrying about UTIs / fungal infections because I got that covered with this little thing in my hand.

⁣I present you with why I argue (and get a bit upset) whenever I see the frequent comment “You’re so lucky you kept your boobs! I’m so jealous!” Ummmm no no, honey! I sure didn’t keep them, and I promise that you would not be jealous if you knew how they looked without a bra!⁣
⁣.⁣
⁣PSA: I STRONGLY advise against saying to someone how “lucky” they are for X, Y, or Z in relation to their body after weight loss because:⁣
⁣1️⃣ You never truly know from just seeing a picture, and⁣
⁣2️⃣ you’re most likely not comparing apples to apples. It’s all about perspective! Starting out like an overflowing L cup, of course, my chest is still going to be big after weight loss compared to someone who started as a C or DD. That doesn’t mean I didn’t lose a TON of weight there or that they look good or normal still when they’re not covered by clothes. In fact, I’ve lost most of the volume in them and I swear they’re mostly loose skin at this point. They are hands down my biggest insecurity!⁣
⁣.⁣
⁣With all that being said, I would NEVER trade the good health that I’ve gained through this process to get my “good boobs” back. Just like the rest of the loose skin all over my body, it’s trivial compared to being 28 years old and in constant physical pain from carrying over 350lbs around on my 5’1” frame. I’ll take all the loose skin in the world over being afraid I won’t live to see my 30th birthday!!⁣

Healthy living means different things to different people, but there are some simple habits that can help you lead a more balanced, energized life every single day—no matter what your goals are. When we practice small habits everyday, it has a compounding effect.

1. ✅Find ways to stay active throughout the day.
Make small actions every day, and let the compound effect do its thing. Everyday makeup a point to do some type of activity whether it's going to gym, going for a walk anything it can be. It doesn't have to be something elaborate, just something to getup and move. 
2.✅Drink water like you mean it.
Every morning, I pour myself a big glass of water, which I drink before putting anything else in my body.Staying hydrated keeps our bodies healthy down to the cellular level and it also helps keep us from overeating. Oftentimes we can mistake thirst for hunger. 
3.✅Catch enough sleep. 
I get a minimum seven and a half hours of sleep every night.Everyone who knows me knows that sleep is my best friend.Getting plenty of sleep not only makes me feel energized and ready to tackle the day, but it leads to better decision making.

healthylivingtips 🦐🦐🥑🥑Pana time!!!! Mofongo de Pana (mofongo made out of fried breadfruit)with shrimp in sauce ❤️...oh yeah with romaine lettuce and avocado on the side 😊 .

🥑🥑🦐🦐To make shrimps, clean, devein and wash shrimps, season with adobo, garlic powder, sazon and about 2-3 tablespoons of fresh cilantro set aside....in a pan heat up 2 tablespoons of olive oil add half of a red pepper diced, half of a green pepper diced and a diced medium onion cook till peppers are soft and onions is translucent, add 2 tablespoons of sofrito and let cook for about 2 minutes add 2 tablespoon of tomato paste, 2oz of tomato sauce and mix till tomato paste has mix in well then add shrimps and let simmer till shrimps are done and sauce has thicken add a little water if sauce is to thick💓💓

👉 To make mofongo I mash up garlic with a little salt place in a small bowl and add a little olive oil and mix set aside, I then take three tostones a place in a bowl with salted water let sit for a couple second, take out and fry tostones in olive oil - I fry till the outside is slightly crisp but inside is still soft take out and place on paper towel...take the three tostones and place in pilon with half tablespoon of butter and mash, add a teaspoon of the garlic mixture and continue mashing till everything sticks together, once every is sticking together form mofongo in the pilon then use a butter knife to go around the edges (kind of how you would do to take a cake out of a pan) flip pilon over onto a plate and top with shrimps and sauce👏👏
