I’m posting this photo of me today because I just started radiation today for my remaining brain cancer and I owe you a HUGE UPDATE about spine cancer and I want to tell you all how it felt! ⤵️⤵️⤵️⠀

Spinal Cancer: first thing I learned today at  radiation appointment was that we might NOT HAVE SPINAL CANCER! I was told today by 2 doctors that’s it’s VERY likely that what they thought was cancer is actually just blood from my brain cancer! Crazy right?! Prayers for continued healing and that the Lords got me! We’ve got an MRI scheduled for next week. ⠀

Additionally, today’s radiation was quick and crazy seeing the teal blue lights! Completely nuts! Otherwise, here’s to the next 6.5 weeks baby! I appreciate continued prayers friends! ⠀

A message to someone who cold messaged me in my DMs and then tried to pitch me IMMEDIATELY. “I would actually love to give you some coaching on your pitch if you’re open to it. I think what you’re doing sounds awesome, but the way you present it makes me feel skeptical. I’m thinking — is this a scam? Just based off of the conversation that we’re having. I don’t feel like you have my best interests in mind.

1. Because you didn’t ask me anything about me. 
2. You didn’t ask about my goals.

So what happened is that you didn’t help yourself. You could have told me how your program related to my goals and what about it I specifically needed...but you didn’t. So you lost the sale. 
Next time... 1. Connect with me on a shared interest. (Were both in Marketing! 👋)
2. Ask me about myself before you pitch. 
3. Tell me how your program aligns SPECIFICALLY with my goals. 
4. Make me feel like you’re my best friend BEFORE you pitch.

Yesterday, man it hit me hard. I spent half my day working from the dog park, and the mental block was REAL.

With so little time between now and the launch of the baby that I’ve held so close for the last 2.5 years I’m not that surprised. Of course I’m scared.

I’m scared it will succeed. I’m scared it will fail. I’m scared that no one will understand. I’m scared I’m not good enough to carry this mission forward. I’m scared. Just scared.

All I know is that we created this with a purpose. A purpose to help people connect daily with their personal development. Because if we’re not growing...we dying.

Also with the purpose of helping Coaches, Network Marketers and Entrepreneurs help their audience grow so that they are better clients and more ready to invest in themselves. healthcoaching Carbs are unhealthy and need to be drastically reduced in order to lose fat 
No nutrient can be broadly painted as unhealthy. Carbohydrates are our body’s primary energy source and fuel for exercise. There are less healthy carb choices, but to say they’re “bad” or “unhealthy” is blatantly false 
Eating late at night causes fat gain 
Eating more calories than you expend in a day causes fat gain. If you’re within your daily calories, it doesn’t matter when you eat them 
Cardio is the only way to effectively lose fat 
While cardio is effective and also provides cardiovascular benefit, regular resistance training is also extremely effective at fat reduction. Adding muscle to your body increases basal metabolism, which mean you’ll burn more calories all day 
You have to give up all the foods you love to lose fat 
You may need to reduce certain things, but I’m a firm believer that there’s a compromise out there for everyone that allows for enjoyment AND progress

You can turn fat into muscle

Muscle and fat are 2 completely separate tissues and are polar opposite in what they do. Fat cells get larger or smaller, you can lose or build muscle but one cannot turn into the other

We’ll end up facing roadblocks to the things we want, and in those times it’s important for us to show patience and perseverance. It is unhelpful for us to think “Nothing should stand in the way of me and what I want. And if I don’t get what I want when I want it, then life will be horrible.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This type of thinking can limit us from pushing through when things get difficult. When our path isn’t clear, we might think “oh this isn’t for me”. We might stop because we expected it to be easy. We can easily become frustrated and angry with ourselves, with others or with the world even for things not coming to us easily. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This ties in with the unhelpful belief that we should have the things we want when we want them. Perhaps you really wanted that job, but they gave it to the other person interviewing. You might become very upset with both the supervisor and the person who they hired. Getting hung up in this anger, and feeling you were treated unfairly might then keep you from pushing forward and trying again, or trying a new strategy. This belief prevents us from growing into smarter, stronger, better people. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I use the Designer Whey brand, unflavored- I find it has a better texture compared to other protein powders and it’s a lot cleaner), 2 small bananas or 1 medium banana, 1 c homemade almond milk, handful of spinach, 1/4 c frozen blueberries, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp vanilla essence, 1 tbsp almond butter, 1 tsp chia seeds and crushed ice! .

1 glass is all you need to keep you full for the next few hours. It’s easy to put together (prep time < 5 minutes), DELICIOUS and hits all your macros! 🙌🏽

(Now I’m still waiting for my eyes to recover a bit more before pushing them back into extreme inversions) Although I’m generally super stable with my other inversions- like headstands & forearm stands... handstands always REALLY challenged me, and I was never really able to kick up and feel where my body was sitting. Then I realized what I was doing wrong. I was KICKING UP. I realized that if I got my body into the nearest position to handstand I could get BEFORE I kicked up, I could get up using the least amount of momentum, and chances are- I’d be able to actually control my body once I was up there. Now of course, I’m still kicking a LITTLE. But with my body up at an angle, and starting with my leg up high really helped me control my body on the way up. Have you tried inversions?

Exercising helps your muscles use blood sugar for energy. So like I always say, exercising has lots of benefits and balancing your blood sugar is one of them.

Another way to avoid blood sugar spikes and crashes is to reduce refined sugar and sugary drinks. Opt for natural sweeteners like raw honey or dates. .

Eating a balanced diet is also very important and this should include enough fibre. Fibre, especially soluble fibre, slows carb digestion and sugar absorption and this can stabilize blood sugar levels.

We used another energy drink for years, but to be honest? I began to have some concern because it had Sucralose in it....it really made us think.🤔 We found out that many people were dropping weight just because they were off sucralose, something to do with glycemic index & insulin spike...who knew?? Sé que muchas veces cuando escuchamos estos términos como “meditación” o “mindfulness” lo primero que pensamos es: “con las justas me alcanza el tiempo para hacer todos mis pendientes, en qué momento voy a dedicarle tiempo a hacer una cosa más?”. Y lo cierto es que no nos damos cuenta que estas pausas, este trabajo en uno mismo, en realidad nos da más tiempo y nos ayuda a vivir mas felices 😃.

El mindfulness es tan simple como hacer lo mismo que haces en tu día a día pero prestando atención a lo que estás haciendo, tal cual lo hacen los niños, ellos están con TODOS sus sentidos en cada cosa que hacen. Si están jugando con un carrito, están jugando con un carrito. Si se están bañando, se están bañando. Si están montando caballo en la playa, están montando caballo en la playa. No existe pasado, no existe futuro, solo existe el momento que están viviendo.

Entonces, aplicando el término al rol de padres (porque se puede aplicar en todas las áreas de nuestra vida), cuando estemos con nuestros hijos, realmente estemos con ellos. Dejemos los celulares, apaguemos el tv y pongamos todos nuestros sentidos en ese tiempo que estamos con ellos. Juguemos, conversemos, escuchemos, abracemos, besemos, miremos, disfrutemos. Vivir de esta manera vuelve cada experiencia más enriquecedora de lo que se pueden imaginar 💫😍.

The main thing is that we stay calm. Not giving up on our healthy morning routine. Meditating longer if we feel we don’t have enough time in the day. Sounds crazy but if you try it and you go deep enough, you’ll know what I mean and you’ll be focused, calm and easily manage everything you need to do. Regarding the diet. If the airline doesn’t have the food option I require with my diet, I simply prepare my food to take it with me. Like carrot sticks, celery & peanut butter for snacks. I know I rather eat my own food then feel yucky the next day. Plus I let myself down which doesn’t feel good. When I’m cleansing I’m committed regardless of traveling or not. Where am I going next? EUROPE here I come!! Preparing for trips can be stressful especially when we have kids, work, pets etc and perhaps we are on a diet. The main thing is that we stay calm. Adherence is an ESSENTIAL component to diet change. If you cannot adhere to the way you’re eating, it’s not sustainable and it won’t last. 🎯

Grocery shopping ahead of time is a key habit for my most successful clients. ✅

I mean c’mon. I knew how to breathe, but not on purpose, not consciously, and not with the intention of using it to get out of my “fight or flight” 👊🏼💥response and into my heart 💗

I learned how to use my breath to move that 🦠yucky 🦠energy out of me and transmute it into love,  gratitude, or joy. ✨💫

When speaking to your niche using the kind of language and slangs your niche use you instantly gives you a big advantage because it enables you to do the 2 following things successfully with your ideal potential clients:

healthcoaching I love how big and full of wonder the world is from my child’s eyes. 🌎One of my favorite things about being a mom is bringing my own mindset back to being a child. I love how much fun putting pillows in a circle is (yep, we call this game “circle”) and it’s amazing how the smallest things like seeing a squirrel and finding leaves together can make you happier than any adult/material thing ever will. I don’t mean to make every little thing about food or eating but this too has become more mindful to me after having Emma. She eats when she’s hungry and doesn’t take even one bite more once she’s full. It’s so simple and easy and it’s made me think about it that way as well.

healthcoaching While we were away, I purposefully didn't think actively think about my business. It's the first time since I started my work that I've done this and I really needed the mental break. 
In the space I created for myself, my intuition had the chance to be heard. I realised, that without really expecting it, my clients had gone away with so much more than weight loss/food freedom/balanced hormones/a better understanding of their bodies (all of which are amazing alone). I realised that my clients went away having become unstuck and more confident in every area of life. 
I was so proud, and initially a little reticent, to acknowledge this thought, because it would mean that my abilities go so much beyond teaching people to be healthier. So I've been quiet as I figure out exactly what this means for my business.

I've equally not wanted to rush the process as I tend to let my drive and impatience push me into a box from which I eventually have to extricate myself. So I've been giving it some room, but I'm getting there. 
I am realising that my zone of genius, regardless of the fact this isn't one of the many qualifications I've acquired during my quest to become the ultimate holistic practitioner, is this: 💫 I see the spark in everyone. I fiercely believe in and nurture my clients to lift their gaze and meet the world more confidently and unapologetically. I can see that bigger vision even when they can't, and I'll hold it for them as if it were my own. I drive and inspire transformation in people, not through hysterical cheer leading but through measured, steady, loving and totally constant support. 💫

Removing the obstacles of poor health is essential to being able to anyone being able to step into their potential. Health coaching will always be the foundational piece of what I do, but I'm allowing myself to think bigger and admit to myself and everyone else that I have a gift here that can't be taught and I'm going to share it. ❤️

How to start eating healthier

If you’re struggling to get anywhere with your nutrition you’ll benefit from making these small behavioural changes rather than trying to make huge behavioural change in one go

Implement the following tips to make progress and stop spinning your wheels

1 - Focus on lean protein
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Protein is the building block for muscles, so when your goal is to improve body composition, consuming adequate protein is essential. It’s also very filling!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 - Switch to water
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Reducing your calorie consumption from liquids and swapping to water can drastically reduce your daily calorie intake and keep your body well hydrated! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3 - Eat lower calorie high volume foods
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Eating more vegetables and fruits will help you feel super full, whilst eating very little in the way of calories. This is a fantastic way to stop yourself from over eating! Popcorn and 0% Greek Yoghurt are also great too

4 - Eat without distraction
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s easy these days to eat dinner whilst scrolling or watching TV. The problem is that you don’t really register what you are eating. Put your phone down and focus on your meal!

5 - Don’t starve yourself
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you try to go too low calorie and cut meals you’ll just feel really tired and drained. Eventually you’ll cave in and revert back to your old ways. Keep things balanced

6 - Get a good nights sleep

A good nights sleep sets you up for the next day and helps regulate your appetite. Poor sleep has been shown to contribute to weight gain
