Another year of being thankful for my access to higher education. Another year of stretching myself. Another year of spending hours upon hours reading and conducting research. Another year of digging deeper into mental health. Another year of conducting interviews with women to understand their narrative surrounding body image dissatisfaction. Another year of analyzing the messages that women take in to create their current narrative. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

But most importantly, another year digging deeper into finding applicable solutions for women struggling with body image dissatisfaction. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Healing our relationship with food is important. But it’s not enough. Because body image dissatisfaction runs so much deeper than a healthy relationship with food. So I’m on a mission to develop lasting protocols for women to find freedom in their bodies from a mental and physical health perspective. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

All the messages today are this or that. It’s one end of the pendulum or the other. But I’m going to bridge them. I’m going to produce content for women to find healing and freedom. I’m going to help create a world that I want my future (far future) daughters to grow up in. A world where they never once think something is wrong with them because of their body. Where they know they’re more than a body. Where the feel at HOME in their body. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

healthcoach 🌸 5 ways to make your workouts more effective 🌸⁣
⁣
1. Take minimal rest periods between exercises.. if you’re not gasping for breath or feel like there’s no possible way you could do another rep, KEEP PUSHING! 😅remember your mind quits way before your body does ⁣
⁣
2. Add in bursts of high intensity movements like burpees, high knees or tuck jumps between sets, you’ll burn more calories and build endurance 🤸‍♀️⁣

3. Lose the distractions!! Find an environment where you can focus on just you for an hour. For me this is just in my living room at home & despite my family usually being around, they learned reallll quick to leave me the f alone when I’m working out 😂 ⁣

4. CLEAN UP YOUR DIET! 🍎 this is so so important when it comes to having the energy to kill a workout.. if I eat like crap the day before chances are it’s going to be reflected in my workout the next day ⁣

5. Have a plan & get excited about it!! I always plan my workouts in advance so I don’t have to do any thinking in the moment & I try to incorporate exercises that I enjoy 🤩⁣

healthcoach I used to think I had to eat tons of plants to be healthy. That a plant based diet was the key to weight loss and health.
For about 5 years from my mid to late 20s I ate a plant based diet with a limited amount of meat. I obsessively worked out and I obsessively incorporated veggies into every single meal I ate. If I was cooking at home, every breakfast, lunch or dinner incorporated a vegetable. If I ate out and the dish I wanted to order didn’t come with veggies I ordered a side salad. I would drink giant green smoothies with tons of veggies but no protein or fats. I would eat veggie burgers, veggie bowls, giant salads. All the greens. I’m surprised I didn’t turn into a freaking rabbit. 
I was scared that if I didn’t eat veggies all the time then I would gain weight and my health would decline. Quite the opposite it turned out. During this period of Orthorexic eating habits (an obsession with healthy food) my B vitamins, especially B12 levels declined. My mood changed. My energy went out the window since I wasn’t replenishing with enough animal protein that my body truly needed. I was quite literally wasting away. 
What I realized is that my body is MY BODY and nobody else’s. What works for someone else’s body and the way they eat may not work for mine. That one diet or way of eating (vegan, vegetarian, plant-based, paleo, low-fat, keto, etc.) may not specifically work for my body and may instead make me less healthy in the pursuit of perfect health - which, spoiler alert, doesn’t exist!! A reminder to pay attention to what your body wants and not a certain diet. This is how we lose trust with our bodies and build anxiety around food when we lose touch with what is truly healthy for us. Follow YOUR way of eating and not someone else’s. Eat your greens, but #dontbecomearabbit 🥕🐰

healthcoach The third instalment of the A-Z Nutrient bible – C is for Curcumin.

Curcumin is the constituent responsible for the vibrant yellow colour in turmeric, a spice commonly used in curries. It’s an absolute nightmare to get off your hands and clothes, however, despite this issue, Curcumin is a known anti-inflammatory polyphenol.

It works by modulating various signalling molecules that play a role in inflammation, it also activates enzymes that break down proteins and regulates growth factors.
Curcumin modulates inflammation by reducing mediating molecules such as C - reactive protein, interleukin 1B, 2,4,5,6 and 12. Essentially, those with issues related to inflammation such as Asthma, Atherosclerosis, Snoring and Rheumatoid Arthritis may benefit from additional curcumin in their diet.

More research is needed for many areas of health, but what research there is supports a small to moderate improvement in the symptoms of depression and anxiety, and pain and function in osteoarthritis. A reduction in LDL-cholesterol, blood glucose and blood pressure is possible, but the research is less consistent and more is needed.
Curcumin also supports in the prevention of cancer by inhibiting carcinogenesis in a number of cancer types.

By itself, curcumin is poorly absorbed. The most common method is to supplement curcumin with piperine. Take 500 mg of the former with 20 mg of the latter, three times per day. Together with food.

Please consult with an expert before starting high doses of curcumin because there may be interaction with current medications.

The amount of messages of deep concern I've received from women about their "hip dips", and how to rid of them has come to my attention. And these are women all over the world. Which tells me this is literally a UNIVERSAL ISSUE. 🤦🏻‍♀️⁣ ⁣ In case you didn't know about it yet - hip dips are an area on your hips that dip inwards. Pretty self-explanatory. ⁣ ⁣ And for some reason, it has been decided this was ugly, bad or unattractive in some way. 😳⁣ ⁣ Many women now, feel the need to microscope, dissect and PICK APART THEIR BODY in yet another way. ⁣ ⁣ As you can see from the diagram, we are ANATOMICALLY CREATED THIS WAY, it's a bone & ligament thing. 💀🦴⁣ ⁣ If you are a beautiful woman reading this & have felt any less of yourself because of this.. I ask you to please not. 🙏⁣ ⁣ Just some personal advice, the more grateful I am for my body, the better it looks and feels every single day. ⁣ ⁣ I encourage you to get into & be in the greatest shape of your life through regular exercise & nourishing foods.. 1. It takes longer then you think: it’s not going to happen after just one week of eating more nutritious foods and going to the gym - GIVE IT TIME it’s totally worth it! ⏰

2. Overeating is still overeating: we can still eat to much even if it is “Healthy” - be mindful about your portions 🥗 🍎 🍌 🥑🥥🍗🥙🌯

3. Don’t blame your metabolism: as we get older we use the good ol’ “my metabolism is slowing down” - Yes, metabolism rates decrease when you get older because you're dropping the amount of lean muscle in your body. But we can PREVENT this! Soooooo if you want to keep that youthful metabolism, use weight training and aerobics to keep those youthful muscles 💪🏻

4. You can’t out exercise a bad diet: unfortunately just because we crush it out at the gym, doesn’t mean we can have that burger everyday - the key to creating a healthy lifestyle and changing your body composition is 80% healthy nutritious eating 🥗 20% movement 🏃🏼‍♀️
.
5. Don’t be afraid of weights: ladies this is for you - women looking to add some lean muscle and definition to their bodies, lifting a little heavier is your best ally. It makes you stronger, sexier, and healthier. Plus the more lean muscle mass we have the more calories we burn in daily life (I’ll do a seperate post about this later cause I could talk all day about it) 🏋🏼‍♀️

6. It’s never to late to start: commit to yourself - your body will thank you greatly for it 🙏🏻

This year has been amazing. 1 year ago I was completing my yoga teacher training in Bali. Seems like a lifetime ago, iv learnt so much and grown as a person a lot since then. The year of the yogi has really helped me focus what I actually give a shit about and focusing on that. Skipping out on energy drainers and negative people. Ain’t nobody got time for dat. 
There’s been breakdowns and build ups and pure joy in running my health coaching biz and passion project.
It’s been an effort trying to live in flow and following intuition rather than what makes logical sense all the time. I’ve loved where it’s taken me so far and can’t wait for the year ahead. 
I’m so grateful for my little insta community too. Wouldn’t trade ya for the world 😘
Focus for this year - social connection. I wanna meet so many more new people, hear their stories and nourish relationships with old friends. Love language = quality time.

Don’t get fooled by words like ZERO calories, NO sugar, LOW fat: because hiding behind these claims are a list of synthetic sweeteners (splenda, aspartame etc), trans fats and other chemicals you wouldn’t want to add to your daily consumption.

Always look at the label for real ingredients you can pronounce & identify. Banana, Ghee, Unprocessed Raw Sugar, etc are not the food items making you fat.

It’s the other hidden sugars and thickeners that are slowing down your metabolism and screwing up your digestive system.

Eat real food folks, it’s that simple!

Sorrel is a leafy plant with very sour leaves. 
Often you can find it in vegetable box schemes or health food stores. .
Sorrel is very healthy and full of Vitamin A which is fat-soluble so traditionally served with some cream and butter.
.
The sourness in sorrel comes from oxalic acid, the same thing which gives rhubarb it's acidity. 
This in very large portion might not be recommended so it's advised to cook mature sorrel leaves as they have more oxalic acid. .

This is my childhood flavours. 
The only difference is that when I grow up in Poland we would have to go to some meadows and pick sorrel in the wild as opposed to have it grown in my garden now.

This is very simple and quick soup. 
Either make or buy some good vegetables stock, have some carots and other veg you like chopped in the soup. 
Chop the sorrel, fry it lightly on the side with some butter or coconut oil. 
Add fried sorrel to the stock, add cream. Done. 🥣

Serve with hard boiled egg. 🥚

Do you ever what to do with sorrel? . Sorrel is a leafy plant with very sour leaves. Often you can find it in vegetable box schemes or health food stores. . Sorrel is very healthy and full of Vitamin A which is fat-soluble so traditionally served with some cream and butter. . The sourness in sorrel comes from oxalic acid, the same thing which gives rhubarb it's acidity. Слово “диета” вызывает кучу негативных эмоций, ассоциаций в голове практически у каждого человека. Сразу рисуется отварная куриная грудка, постная гречка и жизнь лишенная удовольствий😢. Для многих это забег на 2 недели перед отпуском, в лучшем случае - месяц. И все ради того, чтобы надеть купальник мечты на пару недель и все. Потом опять расслабились поели и вернули те 5 кг, что сбросили, но вроде уже и на море не надо.

И все это время люди похожи на мышь, которая гоняется за кусочком сыра. А сыр привязан на удочку, которая на поясе у мыши зафиксирована. Т.е. понятно, что наша мышь вряд ли получит этот кусочек сыра.

Диета происходит от греческого “diaita” - образ жизни. И означает гораздо больше чем рацион питания. Она включает:
⠀
✅ выбор продуктов и пищи
✅ способы приготовления еды
✅ режим сна и отдыха
✅ стиль жизни
✅ физические нагрузки
✅ соблюдение принципов питания
✅ пищевые привычки
✅ психическое здоровье
✅ эмоциональное состояние человека
 и ещё целый ряд критериев, описывающих образ жизни человека.

Поэтому, если вы не хотите мучать себя и свой организм и оставаться здоровыми, вам стоит рассматривать все составляющие образа жизни. Они тесно связаны между собой. И не стоит сосредотачиваться только на питании.

Часто изменение одной привычки, приводит к целому ряду изменений в образе жизни человека. Например, отказ от свободного сахара в моем рационе поменял полностью систему питания, взгляд на продукты, выбор продуктов, изменил пищевые привычки. Следом изменилось мое психическое и эмоциональное состояние.

Я за рациональное питание, здоровые продукты, систему привычек и осознанный выбор продуктов.

Bread is a staple food in many countries and has been eaten worldwide for millennia, but despite its widespread popularity, it is often characterized as unhealthy or harmful, particularly in the case of individuals who have autoimmune or digestive illnesses (like me 🙋🏻‍♀️) such as celiacs, IBS and IBD (Ulcerative colitis and Crohns). This is largely due to either 1) the gluten in bread (a mixture of two proteins that gives bread dough it's elasticity) or 2) the fact that most whole grains can be hard on the digestive system.

How many times per week do you use some kind of painkiller?

I have been noticing that the last years, more and more people have started using painkillers on a daily or weekly basis.

The problem here is that they don’t even notice it!⚠️ I used to be one these people in my early adulthood.

I would take a painkiller every time I would feel some kind of pain. A headache, a menstrual cramp, an open wound, sickness etc.

But, for the past 5-6 years, I tend to avoid all these external substances and started trusting the healing properties of my magnificent body!

Every time we feel or see something weird in our body, this is a signal that we are doing something wrong in our life.⚠️ We are not treating our body the best way possible.

So, the first thing you can do when you feel pain or discomfort is to just take a moment and ask yourself : “Why am I feeling this way?”
“What is my body trying to tell me?”
“What would help me solve this?” The second thing is to get educated on how your body functions and how you can enhance its healing abilities by introducing new simple habits in your everyday life!

I know that, for the most part, we are just changing things only when the worse has come, but WHY NOT DO SOMETHING NOW?

I am telling you it is Never TOO LATE and we are all guilty of limiting beliefs! 👀 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ You need to be very honest with you, get some inner work done and plan and work the plan. 
When I was younger I was told that you can’t work with passion. It is either job to pay bills or hobby to fulfill your passion.

I stopped agreeing with that a long time ago as even in corporate work I always worked  with passion, diligence , deep care for company and people. It was never only about money!! I believe if the work you do is only for money 💴 it is a fast way to burnout and disappointment.

It is never too late for work with passion and getting good money for it!! What are you doing today  to build the life you want with energy and passion?

Я детально погружаюсь и разбираю причины набора веса каждого участника тура и это как ребус разгадывать или детектив читать. 
Дедукция и логика переворачивают все в моей голове, я анализирую факты и факторы набора веса, для разработки «рабочей» программы! И для того, чтобы запустить процесс снижения веса, я:
- знакомлюсь с историей жизни гостя;
- Изучаю как долго и почему мучает вес;
- Какие проблемы с лишнем весом были в семье у родителей; - Перебираю хронические и сопутствующие заболевания;
- Вместе с терапевтом определяем медицинские факторы и назначаем профилактические меры
- Узнаю, какие методы применялись для нормализации веса, какие результаты и причины срывов!
Я не интересуюсь, почему ранее было бездействие! Никогда не осуждаю! Всегда поддерживаю и готова помочь! 
Мой ключевой вопрос:
«Что гость хочет и готов сделать для достижения желаемой нормализации веса»
Исходя из полученных данных приступаю к подбору «ключей» составляю Программу сочетая индивидуальные пути достижения цели! В зависимости от личности гостя,  физических возможностей и задач я учу управлять своим весом с помощью общих программ по фитнесу, основ пп, психологических «фишек» и устойчивой мотивации! А главное, отмечать успехи и радоваться достижениям, что бы стабилизировать и длительно удерживать полученный результат!
Я не концентрируюсь на том, что не позволяло достичь желаемого в прошлом, а помогаю двигаться в будущее и находить все возможные пути достижения цели💪

Every woman is different when it comes to how her menstrual cycle will affect her and her training. There’s a lot of literature that discusses how women can modify their training to work in tandem with their hormone fluctuations and energy output. It does give a roadmap but just as important is remembering that you’re an individual. ⁣

Some women get savage PMs. Some don’t.⁣
Some women feel like superwoman in the low hormone part of the cycle, some feel like death.⁣🤷🏻‍♀️

If ze werrrrd is saying you should be smashing PRs in the gym during your follicular phase (days 1–14 of your cycle) but the thought of doing a back squat makes you feel like you’re about to embark on an ironman that’s okay!⁣
⁣
Like anything, you have these frameworks, but doesn’t mean they’ll always apply to you. Use them to empower you to become more in tune with your own bod, energy and training.⁣
⁣
In my experience working with many women, if ya cycle has you feel like shiz incorporating some movement will always help. This doesn't need to be what you workout looked like a week before but even if it is a walk outside or a flow circuit will give you some juice. Lower your expectations and set the intention to feel a little bit more energised from movement.⁣

With clients, I always adjust depending on how they feel that day. We can still do the same workout (movement pattern focus)  but modify to honor how they feel within their cycle. (See above for how to modify.)⁣

Just because the literature tells you you should be fatigued during certain days of your cycle, it doesn’t mean you should. You ask yourself the simple question: how do I feel? And adjust accordingly.⁣

Bottom line: every woman is different! BUT having information might help to explain how you’re feeling and what you can do to serve yourself best at different times. We women are such complex beings and our hormones fluctuate daily. It does give a roadmap but just as important is remembering that you’re an individual. ⁣ ⁣ Some women get savage PMs. Some don’t.⁣ Some women feel like superwoman in the low hormone part of the cycle, some feel like death.⁣🤷🏻‍♀️ ⁣ If ze werrrrd is saying you should be smashing PRs in the gym during your follicular phase (days 1–14 of your cycle) but the thought of doing a back squat makes you feel like you’re about to embark on an ironman that’s okay!⁣ ⁣ Like anything, you have these frameworks, but doesn’t mean they’ll always apply to you. Use them to empower you to become more in tune with your own bod, energy and training.⁣ ⁣ In my experience working with many women, if ya cycle has you feel like shiz incorporating some movement will always help. This doesn't need to be what you workout looked like a week before but even if it is a walk outside or a flow circuit will give you some juice. Lower your expectations and set the intention to feel a little bit more energised from movement.⁣ ⁣ With clients, I always adjust depending on how they feel that day. We can still do the same workout (movement pattern focus) but modify to honor how they feel within their cycle. (See above for how to modify.)⁣ ⁣ Just because the literature tells you you should be fatigued during certain days of your cycle, it doesn’t mean you should. You ask yourself the simple question: how do I feel? And adjust accordingly.⁣ ⁣ Bottom line: every woman is different! BUT having information might help to explain how you’re feeling and what you can do to serve yourself best at different times. We women are such complex beings and our hormones fluctuate daily. Day 28 Breakfast. 🙌 One month into TR90!!!! 🙌
healthcoach And that’s the truth 👍🏻 It’s about overall health. So many people ask me why I’m drinking a “weight loss shake” UM NO!!!!! This shake is not a weight loss drink just like it’s not a “protein shake”. While people do lose weight when they start replacing their unhealthy snacks with this superfood packed awesomeness😁 and it does have 17-19g of protein in it, it is SO MUCH more than that. 
The truth is that our food supply just isn’t the same as it used to be and solid supplementation is so essential to our health at a molecular level and not all “shakes” are created equal. 👉🏻If you know me you know that when I believe in something, I throw myself behind it 120%! For those who know me personally know that I used to be on antibiotics at least 7 times a year with tonsillitis... BUT SINCE DRINKING THIS, CHANGING MY MINDSET AND WORKING OUT ALMOST EVERYDAY IN MY LOUNGE I HAVENT HAD TO EVEN VISIT A DOCTOR.
This week I’ve been talking to women, men, mummies and daddies who have PCOS, fibromyalgia, MS, chronic migraines, high cholesterol, diabetes, these people just want to FEEL better and have more energy to keep up with their kids 👶🏻...yes this week all of those conversations have happened. Coaching is so varied – Not one of the people I help has the same story 💕! While this shake and my lifestyle is not a cure for any disease or illness I can say from personal experience and the experiences of people I have coached over these last 14 months that it damn well helps. 🤜🏻🤛🏻 If you’ve considered it, let’s chat.
