Here I am trying to get in my 3 cups of sulfur veggies, the stinky ones like broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, etc.  Unfortunately I cooked these a bit to long and I’m unhappy with the texture but they are good for me so down the hatch they go. #lunch #nervehealth #healmybody #broccoli #sulferveggies

I had a really bad night for personal reasons and o had an ADHD meltdown at about 2 am as a result .. normally I would then make an excuse and say I’ll start tomorrow but I am determined so I’ve done my breathing exercises.. had my filtered water and had my apple cider and vinegar shot and fasted until 1pm today... made a right old mess and spilt ghee everywhere. healmybody This is one of many ab exercise circuits that will kick your butt if you do them correctly!

Reps: 20x2ea

Time: 30sec-1min ea

1. Starfish- This exercise targets the internal and external obliques. Keeping the upper and lower extremities straight will require you use more energy to exceed the displacement of weight outside your center of gravity. Ensure you use your core to lift and rotate opposing limbs to meet each other. If you're looking to progress this exercise, don't let your hands and feet touch the floor (see video). 2. Rocky Balboas- You've probably seen these before. This exercise targets the internal and external obliques as well. Ensure you keep a neutral spine and form a 'V' shape, hinging from your hips by keeping your back straight and.shoulders retracted. You want to avoid rounding your spine, causing you to form a 'U' shape. If it helps doing this close to mirror to gauge form, go for it!

3. Side Plank w/ Hip Abduction and Hip Flexion- This one is hard and you can even see me struggling a bit ;) For beginners I recommend starting with a static side plank and ensure to keep your hips align with your spine and legs. Keep your elbow under your shoulder and hips stacked on top of each other. Once you feel more comfortable, you can begin lifting your leg in the air to destabilize and challenge your core. 
4. Prone Plank with UE and LE Extensions- This one is harder than it looks. It's important to monitor form and make sure you keep your body stabilized when lifting your limbs. Try your best to ground your weight in the supporting limbs and engage your core so that your hips don't sink below your torso.

Sleep deprivation wreaks havoc in our bodies; foggy brain, higher cortisol level, insulin resistance, higher sugar intake, muscle aches, depression, anxiety, poor decision making, confusion, unbalanced hormones.... most of these conditions could be alleviated by sleeping properly. When we sleep our bodies heal, when our brain goes through all the information we have absorbed through the day and filters them. It is a great chance for our body to do a mini cleanse, for our digestive system to get a break, for our liver to go through its detoxification process without interruptions. The importance of sleeping cannot be overstated.

But you are a mum...and your baby doesn’t sleep well.

What can you do in that case?
- Nap when the baby naps (please don’t roll your eyes and just do it, trust me!)
- Relax if you can’t nap (instead of tidying the house, have a nice cup of tea)
- Meditate 2 minutes every day, to recharge the batteries
- Lay on the floor while your baby plays, and simply relax
- Spend time in nature whenever you can
- And remember...this thou shall pass

So this week hit the three month mark since I started my six month recovery project from cervical cancer and a tonne of surgeries for womb related issues. In those three months I’ve cut out refined sugar, shop bought foods with additives and junk in, and make more or less everything from scratch and eat looooooaaaadddsss of healthy fruit and veg 🥕 . (oh and I’ve started the fabulous exercise program BBG) This was in order to boost my immune system, as this type of cancer is often initiated by a prolonged period of a weaked immune system (in my case, caused by the contraceptive implant god dammit). Unfortunately over the last month or so it’s become clear that things aren’t quite right, and next week I’ll be going in for a tonne of tests to try and figure out why my immune system is still down after all my hard work. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t gutted. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t finding it hard to stay positive. For now I’m on two lots of antibiotics and am holding onto the fact that I’m on holiday in two weeks 🤩. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’m not afraid of death in the slightest, that’s not what bothers me here. I am afraid of having surgeries again, spending months healing and not being able to do the things I love. I would love to be able to keep my womb, that would be the dream, and that is what I wish for every day. We will just have to see how things go. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

healmybody We can’t really talk about sleeping without mentioning sleep hygiene, which, by the way, has nothing to do with how clean you are. It is an important place to start, where what you do in the hour before sleep can make a huge difference.

Reduce noise; if you leave in a busy city, you can always purchase a white noise machine for a few bucks, or you can download a white noise app on your phone.

Avoid any strenuous physical activity for at least 3 hours before going to sleep; you are allowed to do stretching, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

Avoid emotionally stimulating activities before bedtime...such as arguing with your loved ones, or get into a politica l debate with a friend.

Read a book, but not a thriller.

Bath. Have a bath with essential oils if you can, but a warm, nice shower with some drops of #lavenderoil can do the trick.

Your bedroom should be a haven of comfort. Get rid of the clutter, and once the lights are out, the room should be cool and as quiet and dark as possible.

Dim the lights 1 – 2 hours before bedtime to get into the groove of things, switch off the technology and dim the lights.

Download Flux on your computer to reduce blue light exposure.

Take #Magnesium, at least 200 mg twice a day. Magnesium bisglycinate is my favourite as it is easily absorbable.

Eat a light dinner, at least 2 hours before going to sleep. Make sure to have high-quality proteins at dinner time, so you won’t wake up peckish in the middle of the night.

Have a massage to release muscles tensions and to quieten your mind.

We can’t really talk about sleeping without mentioning sleep hygiene, which, by the way, has nothing to do with how clean you are. It is an important place to start, where what you do in the hour before sleep can make a huge difference. Reduce noise; if you leave in a busy city, you can always purchase a white noise machine for a few bucks, or you can download a white noise app on your phone. Avoid any strenuous physical activity for at least 3 hours before going to sleep; you are allowed to do stretching, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Avoid emotionally stimulating activities before bedtime...such as arguing with your loved ones, or get into a politica l debate with a friend. Read a book, but not a thriller. Bath. Have a bath with essential oils if you can, but a warm, nice shower with some drops of #lavenderoil can do the trick. Your bedroom should be a haven of comfort. Get rid of the clutter, and once the lights are out, the room should be cool and as quiet and dark as possible. Dim the lights 1 – 2 hours before bedtime to get into the groove of things, switch off the technology and dim the lights. Download Flux on your computer to reduce blue light exposure. Take #Magnesium, at least 200 mg twice a day. Magnesium bisglycinate is my favourite as it is easily absorbable. Eat a light dinner, at least 2 hours before going to sleep. Make sure to have high-quality proteins at dinner time, so you won’t wake up peckish in the middle of the night. I know for a fact that when anxiety and depression take over, going for a run is no easy task, to be honest, in my case my boyfriend almost had to dress me in sport clothing and put my running shoes on, he gently walked me outside of our home and closed the door behind me. After that, there was nothing else to do, either keep feeling miserable or try and go for a run. I am so thankful I choose the second.

#weightloss Surya Mudra. Surya means "sun". This mudra increases "Agni" (fire) element and at the same time supresses the "Prithvi" (earth) element. Benefits: Agni element is also associated with metabolism. This mudra promotes healthy metabolic rate, thus resulting in loss of excess body weight and is greatly helpful to control progressive weight gain. It also helps to control high blood cholesterol and is useful in cases of loss of appetite, indigestion and constipation. Side Benefit: Agni element thus stimulated, also improves eye health and vision. How to do? Place the tip of ring finger onto the base of thumb. Then rest the thumb gently over the ring finger. Hold this "mudra" for 5minutes. One can practise this mudra daily. Best results are obtained by combining it with deep breathing/meditation practice. Take Charge of Your Life! Welp, my optimism for a new training week was cut short after feeling totally drained from a change in routine, travel, late-nights and early mornings, some work stressors, and overall feeling wiped. I’ve still been running! And running my Hashi #IRunMyHashi , but I learned I need to ease my way back into more intense workouts instead of diving head first into what-I-used-to-do.

I’ll get there! I just need to be a bit gentler to my body along the way 💆🏼‍♀️

Swingin’ into the weekend 💃🏼 (or at least trying to!) . I listen to what my body is telling me and when I hurt and I am in pain I don't go Live to 
share Jewelry and it's non-negotiable! 🌊

I know consistency is key but I am no good to my customers or team if I am in pain, hurting, cranky, and miserable. 🌊

Even though I love what I do and especially going Live, it's important for my body to rest
when it's hurting so that way I can be my happy, crazy, fun self for my customers and team.  They need and deserve that. 🌊
