THIS IS NOT THE KIND OF POST WE COULD’VE PLANNED FOR. We had originally been planning on posting a new class review this am for ‘CitySweat’ at @projectbyequinox - but sometimes life gets in the way and plans are forced to change! We skipped our workout (but will def check it out soon & report back for you guys) and wanted to show you guys a real life shot of our morning.
Eliz is moving tomorrow and her current building caught on fire last night (so grateful she is safe and we hope no one was hurt 🙏🏻). So, we woke up early this am to quickly pack up all her things and to get her outta there … Two is always better than one! 😉
Safety masks obvi in effect - thankfully, it was safe enough to be in the building, but you never know. This was a very eye opening experience all around!
And tonight we’re having a much needed SATC holiday dinner with the team (our two amazing assistants Amanda & Riane) - which we are so looking forward to, especially after this chaotic day/night.

Yes - I’m aware it’s not the same pose but you can still see how my body has changed over the years. Prettttty crazy! Honestly, I don’t even feel I’ve changed much until I look at old photos and realize how much training has changed my physique. I still have so many goals I want to reach, but I like to remind myself where I started when discouragement starts to hit. Sometimes we are TOO HARD on ourselves ☹️ but I love this journey and I love challenging myself and becoming stronger. This is the body you were given, and will have for the rest of your life. So what are you going to do with it?

You guys 🤗 I am so 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕜𝕗𝕦𝕝 that we live in a time where being healthy, working out and embracing curves is encouraged 💛 Gone are the days when being a toothpick was “goals” not that I EVER stood a chance, I was born curvy.
Right now, as we are spending tons of money on gifts for the holidays, consider investing a little more in your health. If you are already doing this (𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦) perhaps encourage a friend or loved one that may not be living the healthiest lifestyle to 🆂🆃🅰🆁🆃.
Also, I say this time and time again, but what an awesome community this is ❤️ Am I right or am I right? Each and every one of you are amazing and I am so happy to be here 💫

I have had THE best workouts this last week and have loved to get back into heavy lifts again 🧡 Not gonna lie my body hurts to laugh 😬 but I've kinda missed this feeling 🥰 DOMS 4 lyf
𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗚𝗬𝗠 𝗘𝗫𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗪𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗦 🏋🏻♂️
Sorry.. There aren’t any!
For all my clients, online or 121, the first point of call is always to look into their diet, food intake and then into a calorie deficit.. Which will, overtime, cause them to lose the weight they desire.
Then we can look into other aspects that can aid their calorie deficit - A Workout Programme.
To give you an idea, here’s some exercises which are part of my clients workout programmes – (dependant on exercise experience, lifting ability & personal preferences). 𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙋𝙊𝙐𝙉𝘿 𝙀𝙓𝙀𝙍𝘾𝙄𝙎𝙀𝙎 – Squats, Deadlifts, Overhead Press, Chest Press, Back Rows, Lunges.
These are not only multi-muscle exercises, but they also help us burn more calories due to effort they take to perform.
𝙄𝙎𝙊𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙀𝘿 𝙀𝙓𝙀𝙍𝘾𝙄𝙎𝙀𝙎 – Glute Bridges, Straight Leg Deadlifts, Leg Extensions, Lateral Raises, Bicep Curls, Chest Flies, Back Flies.
These exercises tend to isolate only 1 muscle at a time, but are one’s that isolate the larger muscles of our body.
𝘽𝙊𝘿𝙔𝙒𝙀𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏 𝙀𝙓𝙀𝙍𝘾𝙄𝙎𝙀𝙎 – Press Ups, Pull Ups, Dips, Planks, Reverse Rows.
Exercises that can be made easier or harder, depending on levels of strength.
𝘾𝘼𝙍𝘿𝙄𝙊 – I would recommend rowing, cycling, treadmill, air bike or skierg which are the most testing and gain the best results from.
𝙊𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙍 – The more well equipped your gym is, you may be also able to include; Battle Ropes, Boxing, Slam Balls, Kettlebells, Box Jumps, Sled Pushes and Swimming.
A good example of a workout - Start with 1-2 compound exercises, when you are physically & mentally at your best for the most taxing of exercises. Follow this on with isolation exercises, maybe some bodyweight stuff and then even finish with cardio, depending on how the workout is planned.

Also, I bloody hate Squats. Anyone with me? Ngl I’ve been awful for avoiding them lately, so I’m really trying to throw myself over to the squat rack and get squatting. Today was that day. I did it. Proud of me 🤘🏽❤️

I always go into the gym with a plan but sometimes you have to call an audible because equipment isn’t available. Not a huge fan of Smith Machine squats but when all of the squat racks are taken, you do what you have to do!

Haircare has never really been at the top of my priorities list - I’m a “wash 1-2 times per week, hairdressers every 12 months” kinda girl - so when @indah_hair reached out to me about their new moisturising treatment pods I thought, why not, let’s give my hair some love 🤷🏼♀️

Raw, real, no filter (minus the part where I had to blur my hand holding up my boobs....why am I so awkward😂) Fell into a slump post-knee surgery because I was essentially bedridden for two weeks, on crutches for 6. But don’t we all fall into slumps or regress?🥴
I’m not a patient person at all. I expect to have sculpted arms, a peachy booty and a six pack after one workout, but obviously we all know that’s not realistic. If it were easy, everyone would do it. Not where I was or where I ultimately want to be, but grateful to be making progress. That’s all that matters ☺️
