I’ve had many people ask me, “What’s the difference between blending and juicing?” I’ve also heard people say, “Oh, I don’t need a juicer, I have a Vita-Mix.” Basically, what it boils down to is fiber and nutrient availability.

When you blend fruits and vegetables you get the juice and the fiber.  It’s really just like drinking pre-chewed food. At first I was skeptical, but felt like I had nothing to lose. Now I’ve been following this lifestyle for 2 months and I can’t believe how my body has thanked me in return. My digestion has improved 1000%, my skin has cleared up, I sleep better, and I have more energy. Food combining has also helped me overcome my fear of certain foods (esp. pasta) and has allowed me to still enjoy eating out with friends and family without the guilt. On vacation I try to eat healthy, but I don’t force myself. It’s important to treat yourself and sometimes eat unhealthy, because balance is key!🙏🏼 . So never stress about your food, because this lifestyle needs to be sustainable and that’s what is going to make healthy living a LIFESTYLE. . I just steam eggplant, bok choy and zucchini then throw it over some warm cauliflower rice (I use @fullgreen.official cauliflower rice and it’s perfect!) and plop on @yaisthai yellow Thai coconut curry. Decided to spice things up tonight and also mix in some coconut aminos and top with anything but the bagel seasoning from @traderjoes (ifykyk😉)

Bahan choux:
- 100 gr terigu segitiga
- 50 gr terigu cakra
- 150 ml air
- 100 ml susu cair
- 100 gr butter
- 4 btr telur, kocok lepas
- Sejumput garam & gula.

Caranya:
1. Panaskan air, susu, butter gula dan garam sampai mendidih. Matikan api, lalu masukkan terigu, aduk hingga kalis.
2. Angkat dari kompor, dinginkan lalu masukkan telur. Aduk hingga rata. Konsistensi adonan yg bener itu kental tapi masih bisa jatuh menggantung kalau diangkat dispatula.
3. Spuitkan adonan di atas loyang yg sudah di alasi kertas roti, beri jarak.
4. Panaskan oven. Lalu panggang 200° selama 20 menit pertama lalu turunkan menjadi 180° sekitar 20 menit lagi. Jgn buka tutup oven.

I can’t help myself I’m so obsessed with them! 
I’ve had some people ask me about acai bowls and food combining. for my food combining girls, no...acai bowls don’t generally follow fc. because the starches (granola) don’t combine well with fruit and if you get nut butter that doesn’t combine with fruit either. so if you get those toppings then it doesn’t follow fc. but also I think implementing the 80/20 rule into your lifestyle is amazing! 80% of the time follow it and 20% of the times it’s okay to have meals that don’t follow it whether it’s when you are hungry and need a quick meal that ends up being a pb and jelly sandwich or if you just really want to have a treat like an açaí bowl. either way that’s TOTALLY OKAY!!! adjust it however you need to fit your lifestyle and make you feel your best!

Dark chocolate is my new weakness. I always loved milk chocolate cause who doesn’t lol but wowie when u find a good clean simple dark chocolate 😱👏🏼 see ya cause this is amazing lol. Quality (70% cocoa +) dark chocolate is rich in fiber, iron, magnesium, copper, manganese. It’s also super high in antioxidants! I love a couple brands, @hukitchen which is pictured and it’s one of the cleanest chocolates ever with like 3/4 ingredients !! Obv it’s vegan too - all the flavors are bless! I also love @eschocolate chocolate bars, @honeymamas is also so bomb!! Also there’s so many good vegan “milk chocolate” bars out there too but that’s a treat because it’s not the best for ya w all the sugar.

Quality (70% cocoa +) dark chocolate is rich in fiber, iron, magnesium, copper, manganese. It’s also super high in antioxidants! I love a couple brands, @hukitchen which is pictured and it’s one of the cleanest chocolates ever with like 3/4 ingredients !! Obv it’s vegan too - all the flavors are bless! I also love @eschocolate chocolate bars, @honeymamas is also so bomb!! Also there’s so many good vegan “milk chocolate” bars out there too but that’s a treat because it’s not the best for ya w all the sugar.

foodcombining I saw THIS yummy nutella substitute called “Chocolate Hummus” from @traderjoes The texture is smooth, the chocolate taste (from the cocoa) is not as strong, but you can definitely still taste the chocolate. The consistency is great, honestly like a hummus, and dipping any snack into this is great!!

Honestly these ones are nothing crazy new/different from me so this post is more about the amazingness that is the tomatillo guac that these tacos are topped with 😍 tomatillos are seasonal and are the perfect way to make any guac super tangy and deeeelish! Please do yourself a favor and take advantage of tomatillo season- starting here

Broiled 3 tomatillos for 5 mins on each side- blend with handful of fresh cilantro and salt  Separately mash avo and mix in 1/2 lemon squeeze.  Pour in tomatillo blend and add salt to taste

If you’re wondering...the cauli and brussels were mixed in avo oil + cumin and roasted @ 450 until crispy. The zucchini was sautéed in a mix of a little avo oil, oregano, + sea salt. Also added some arugula, halved cherry tomatoes, and used @sietefoods cassava flour tortillas

Hellllooooo long time no see!! i’m finally kind of settled into my apartment so hopefully i’ll have time to post more🥺 Whipped up this salad in literally 6 minutes with only a handful of ingredients that are budget & time friendly!!!⠀

I get a lot of questions on how I budget as well as how i come up with my “bowl” recipes.. it’s really all about just having a base(greens/rice/noodles) then adding your veggies or protein toppings, a dressing, and extra seasonings...⠀

This can be helpful especially if you’re in college/living in an apartment or dorm in college.. I also had to specifically mention that i genuinely think that THIS IS THE BEST HUMMUS EVER (from @traderjoes) so decided to make a dressing out of it with a couple other ingredients😌😌⠀

I’ve been doing a ton of research lately and have been watching video after video & listening to podcast after podcast about nutrition, stress, exercise, sleep, love & most importantly the meaning of life and i’ve been learning a lot of new things 🤓 I’ve been doing this because I’ve been struggling recently with what I should be eating. I still want to food combine but I’m not sure about just being plant-based, cutting out dairy for good, adding in supps, what protein powder to use, etc. I am also looking forward (but also a lil nervous) about staying healthy in college. on my previous post I shared that I was not doing so hot my freshman year, and I don’t want to fall back into that dark place again (which I won’t 💪🏼) I just need to organize myself + plan it all out 🧠👏🏼

This one is high in protein and very delicious. And since qinoa is a gluten-free whole grain packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber, this breakfast is super healthy.

-1/3 cup cooked quinoa
-1/2 mashed banana
-2tsp. maple syrup -1 serving plant based protein
-2/3 cup milk of choice
-1 tsp. Coconut butter
Optional: cacao nibs coconut butter .

* In a bowl  add quinoa, the mashed banana, protein powder, and milk. Mix until combined. * Let sit 5 minutes to allow it to thicken a little bit. Mix in the coconut butter (stirring quickly as it will harden if the milk was cold). * Put in the fridge and enjoy cold!☺️

I never really had a routine in the morning, but since I started food combining I can not start my morning any other way than my warm lemon water and my fruits! I am definitely seing a change in my body and in my mind. I am so much happier and much more focus and determined! I am starting school in 2 weeks and I am actually excited to start! It's crazy how food can affect our mood! I never realized that before.  I am not following food combining at 100% because there are somethings that do work for me but my breakfast is always 100% fc. It's important for me to start my day right.

At night, I would always get bloated and I would think, that's normal everyone has it! But NO! When you find what works and what does not work for you, bloating is not an issue anymore! I am still figuring out what works best for me, it is a long journey but all worth it!

Je suis en train de voir un changement dans mon corps et dans la façon dont je pense. Je suis tellement plus heureuse et beaucoup plus déterminée! Je commence l'école dans 2 semaines et je suis vraiment excitée de commencer! C'est fou comment la nourriture peut affecter notre humeur! Je n'avais jamais compris cela auparavant.  Je ne suis pas le "food combining" 100% car il y a des choses qui me conviennent, mais mon déjeuner est toujours à 100% fc. C'est important pour moi de bien commencer ma journée. La nuit, j'étais ballonnée et je me disais, c'est normal, tout le monde l'est. Mais NON! Lorsque vous trouvez ce qui fonctionne et ce qui ne fonctionne pas pour vous, le ballonnement n'est plus un problème! foodcombining Decorated a cake for the first time 😊 had so much fun! Fun fact: sunflowers are my favorite flower. I’m super pumped for 24. The end of 23 was honestly incredible. Big things have happened and there is more to come.

This cake is GF and VN (obvi). To be honest, the cake is good, but nothing special. It’s a great base recipe, so if you wanna play with the recipe, like add bananas or turn it into a carrot cake, this recipe is perfect. The cake turned out very dense and didn’t rise. It tastes more like bread than cake, but I like that cause I’m not a big cake gal. I would give it a 6/10. Maybe it was because of the flour my mom used? I usually bake with oat flour and everything comes out wonderful.

I am mainly posting this recipe because the frosting turned out incredible. So light and yummy. I’m not a big frosting person, but this stuff is good and so easy to make.

Cake Ingredients:
(Makes Two)

2tbs ACV
3c Almond milk
4c GF flour (My mom used Pamela’s GF all purpose flour)
2c Sugar
2 1/2tsp vanilla extract
4tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
1tsp salt
1c coconut oil, melted

Frosting Ingredients:
3.5c powdered sugar
3.5tbs soft vegan butter
3-4tsp almond milk
3tsp vanilla extract
(add all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix with an electric mixer)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Oil and flour two 9inch round pans
2. Measure ACV into a measuring cup, then fill with almond milk. Let stand until curdled, about 5 minutes. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk mixture, coconut oil and vanilla. Mix wet and dry ingredients together. Then add into pans.
3. Bake for about 30-40 minutes. Check the cake at 30. Ended up turning the heat off at 40 minutes, then covered cakes with foil. Let them sit for 10-15 minutes. Then take out and cool on wire racks.

Sitting in the car thinking about all the foods I want to eat. Unfortunately I can’t eat anything for the next 24 hours. As some of you may know from my stories I’m getting a colonoscopy done tomorrow in hopes to find what’s causing all my stomach issues. ——————————————————————————
For those who don’t know how a colonoscopy works a few days before the procedure you are limited to eating white rice and white bread, chicken, fish, and eggs. 🥑Guacamole🥑 Sitting in the car thinking about all the foods I want to eat. Unfortunately I can’t eat anything for the next 24 hours. As some of you may know from my stories I’m getting a colonoscopy done tomorrow in hopes to find what’s causing all my stomach issues. —————————————————————————— For those who don’t know how a colonoscopy works a few days before the procedure you are limited to eating white rice and white bread, chicken, fish, and eggs. Happy Sunday beautiful people! I now present to you, GRAIN-FREE, REFINED SUGAR FREE, VEGAN WAFFLES 🙌🏾 👨🏾‍🍳(so sorry for all the caps, I’m just reaaaalllllyyyy excited!) I adapted this recipe from a buttermilk waffle recipe that I found years ago (so sorry I don’t know the source). I first adapted this recipe to be vegan, and then I made it low sugar. Now, it’s also grain free and food combining friendly! 
The waffles are topped with @riviera1920 coconut yogurt, caramelized bananas, and a chocolate drizzle, YUM 😋 ⭐️HERE’S THE RECIPE: ⭐️ Wet ingredients: - 1 3/4 to 2 cups of plant milk and water +2 tbsp ACV (I add more liquid as needed when making the batter. Half milk, half water!) -2 flax eggs (2 tbsp golden flax +6 tbsp cold water)
-healthy splash of vanilla extract -1/2 cup melted coconut oil -1 large spoonful honey ⭐️ Dry ingredients: -2 scant cups of @ottos_cassava_flour (don’t pack the cup! The mixture becomes too dense) - 4 tsp baking powder -1 heaped spoonful of cinnamon (probably 1/2 a tbsp) -3 tbsp coconut sugar -pinch of salt ⭐️ Mix it all in a bowl, but careful not to overmix! Then, you’re ready to put the batter on a lightly oiled waffle iron!

foodcombining Why do you work out?  I was thinking about this after my drive home from my workout yesterday morning. I’ve been working out since about 4/5 years ago and I didn’t even realize how long it’s been... I’m really proud of myself for how far I’ve come with working out. I push myself more and challenge my body to try new things and I use to not do that at all. Challenging your body also challenges your mind and it can be really hard. Stepping outside of your comfort zone isn’t easy at all. I think most of us don’t challenge our bodies because of the mental aspect, because you’re scared to. But I find that when I do challenge myself to do something different is when I see the biggest results in my body & my mental state is better because I’m proud of myself that I did something different. 
Point of all this was to say to challenge yourself today. Even if you’re at day 1 or day 100 with working out, starting to workout or trying a new type of workout will not only make you feel amazing but it’ll help mentally & I promise you that’s the greatest thing you can do for yourself. Push yourself past your limits, and see all that you can accomplish!

Working out makes you feel strong, confident & happier with yourself. Not the mention, it’s good for your bones/muscles, sleep quality, energy levels & makes you feel overall happier.

2 slices Ezekiel bread + Dijon mustard + spinach+ cucumber + sprouts + large tomato + @miyokoscreamery classic chive cheese wheel
* i ended up adding avocado in it too and it was fire, but didn’t get pics, 11/10 recommend for next time*

➺ put some (or a lot if ur like me) mustard on the bread, then top with spinach, cucumber, sprouts, thick slice of cucumber and an even thicker slice of the cheese (trust me it’s so good you’ll want a lot) on top either as a full sandwich or open faced
