Signe’s professional history spans over fifty years, beginning in the early 1960’s.
One of the most significant things to her work is the viewer themselves as she states, “viewers complete the intent of an artwork by recreating it through their own filters of thought and emotion, enabling work to assume multiple interpretations.”
In her career, Signe Stuart has had 18 solo museum exhibitions spanning across the United States. She has also been the recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Painting Fellowship along with several other awards.
