Studies have shown that the more varieties of food someone is presented with, the more they will eat (witness your behavior at a breakfast buffet). -
Low-carb diets massively restrict your number of food options, so that you naturally eat less. It also strips away lot of social and mindless eating opportunities like those times you’re not actually hungry but eat anyway because others are eating or simply because the food is in front of you. -

Ok, so I'm sure a bunch of you fitness junkies love a good quest bar, sure, why not they are a good little protein snack that you can enjoy "gUilT FrEe"
What bugs me, (other than the concept of being told to feel guilty for eating some fuckin food) is this "Net Carb" bull.
Sure, these bars contain 14g of fibre, and fibre doesnt have an impact on your blood sugar as it doesn't absorb into the blood stream, and simply passes through your digestive system.
BUT FIBRE HAS CALORIES
just because it doesnt "sPiKe InSulIn" or it can't "Be stored as fat" is undermining your intelligence and feeding you excess CALORIES by acting like the carbohydrate content is all that matters.
This is just flagrant carb fear mongering to make more sales, pushing an idea that carbs are bad for you regardless of the calories.. Fuck mate fibre IS A CARB.
Anyways kids, eat your quest bars. But please count the total calories and not the carbs. You will be far better off.

Pick the ingredients you desire and tadang all served in a big hot clay pot. The soup is fragrant with strong herby taste, flavourful but not overpowering. It’s way less oily than other bak kut teh I’ve tried out there too. Also you have to eat their “black rice” with it, it’s better trust me! 😋

Plátano horneado delicioso!!!!
Lo ideal es mezclar el Carb con proteína o grasa buenas para mantener niveles de glucosa estables... así que lo mezcle con queso ricotta, yogurt griego + canela y quedó delicioso!
Use mi súper hornito.... hornee por 20 min a 120F y quedó delicioso!!!
Les súper recomiendo probar esta receta! Puede ser un súper pre entreno o postre sano!

🔸I really hate to be the one to break it to you, but you can’t dictate where your body burns fat. Your body utilizes fat stores as energy (when in a caloric deficit) in a systemic fashion. Where you lose fat and when is dependent on things such as your sex and genetics. So do all the sit-ups and planks you want, but it’s not going to melt away that droopy goo hanging out over your waist.
2️⃣ 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐅𝐚𝐭
🔹For about the last two decades carbohydrates have been demonized like no other and blamed for the increase in obesity rates. If I could roll my eyes any harder I’d swallow the damn things. The over consumption of calories is to blame. Period. It’s not the carbohydrates fault (THIS INCLUDES SUGAR). So for the love of all that is holy, eat a damn potato.
3️⃣ 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐈𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐬
🔸What if I told you that cardio wasn’t the best type of exercise for fat loss, but could actually be counterproductive?! Yes, cardio burns calories, which will lead to the loss of body fat as long as you’re in a caloric deficit. It also leads to the loss of lean tissue such as muscle. No bueno! Resistance training on the other hand not only burns calories, but helps maintain and build lean tissue which over time will actually boost your metabolism! This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t do cardio, but implementing a healthy amount of both may prove more optimal.
4️⃣ 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐄𝐚𝐭 “𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧”
🔹You could eat a diet that consisted of only kale and apples (please don’t), but if you’re eating too many calories, you guessed it, you’re going to gain body fat. Implement any foods you’d like into your diet while maintaining that caloric deficit and you’ll see success. And sure, if it makes you feel better, go ahead and rinse off your Oreos before you eat them.

YES is the answer. 💪
You can eat whatever you like, just not AS MUCH as you like 🤔
You could potentially just eat chocolate and still lose fat.
BUT there are 3 things you should think about
1. Is this food making it harder or easier to stick to your calorie goals? - does it keep you full? Is it helping you to not overeat?
2. Is this food providing me with essential nutrients? - Remember that fat loss and health are not always intertwined. Just because you could lose weight eating nothing but nutritionally void foods, doesn’t mean you should. Especially if optimal health is important to you.
3. Does it help you adhere long term?
Health is more complex and goes beyond just your diet. Do you think it’s psychologically/socially healthy to say no to every meal with friends because the foods may not be perfect? I’d say no, but then that is up to you to decide!
Balance isn't always that clear and that's mainly because it’s kinda vague and we’re pretty shit at moderation. Finding a path that can help you stick to a “diet” or a way of eating is key.

What is it?
Hip Abduction targets your extenteral rotation muscles throughout the isolated movement of extending your legs away from the midline of your body. During hip abduction glute activity is increased. •
Why is this important? On any squat, deadlift, or hip dominant exercise your femur externally rotates over your tibia and at your hip. This external rotation is essentially hip abduction. This is why you should hear trainers and coaches instructing their athletes to create external rotation at their knees. •

Tuscan Chicken Pasta 🍝
I had my sister over for dinner and we both loved this meal before going to see Lion King 😍 You can make it in either the Instant Pot or crockpot with minimal effort.
-4 small chicken breasts (cut into small cubes)
-2 Tbsp butter
-1 tsp dried basil
-1/2 tsp garlic powder
-2 cups unsalted chicken broth
-1/2 package of cream cheese (4 oz)
-1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-1/2 of a small bag of sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
-1/4 tsp pepper
-2 2/3 cups (8 oz) penne pasta
-3/4 cup skim milk
-3 cups spinach
1. Add the chicken, basil, garlic powder, butter, broth and pasta. Set to sealing and cook on manual for 3 minutes.
2. Let it natural release for 5 minutes, then change to venting.
3. Switch to the sauté function and stir in the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, pepper, milk and spinach.
1. Add the chicken, basil, garlic powder, butter, and broth. Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
2. Stir in cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, pepper, milk, and spinach.
3. Cook pasta noodles separately, then serve the rest of the mix over it.

🤤 Unos ricos medallones de calabaza para terminar el día power👌🔥
📝Solo necesitas (rinde 4 unidades):
☑️ 4 rodajas de zapallo anco (del grosor que prefieras).
☑️ c/s de avena (podés usar pan rallado o si la preferís más fibrosa mezcla de salvado de trigo y salvado de avena).
☑️ 1 huevo (suficiente para doble pasada). ▶️ Si luego de una pasada sobra, podés hacer un mini omelette (todo se aprovecha).😬
☑️ 1 tomate.
☑️ 1 porción tipo mazo de cartas de queso cremoso.
☑️ Condimentos (provenzal, cúrcuma, o el que quieras).
📝La preparación se realiza como cualquier milanesa, pero les tiro un tip:
☑️ Si las rodajas son gruesas, conviene previa cocción al vapor antes de pasarla por huevo, y son finitas, con un escaldado previo es suficiente.👌
📝 En este caso, con el agregado de avena como medio para rebozar, estaríamos reduciendo el Índice glucémico que generaría la preparación si se hiciera con pan rallada o rebozador o si el zapallo se presentara en un puré de zapallo o zapallo hervido. 🔝 Las grasas del queso y la yema de huevo generan algo parecido.
📝 Agrego que, muchas veces, el queso o el uso de aceite como medio de cocción (salteado fundamentalmente, dónde tiende a subestimarse, porque fritura es medio obvio) o agregado en frío (en ensaladas o pastas), suelen ser los componentes de la alimentación que influyen en los cambios de peso, sobre todo de descenso. No nos dejan bajar.❗
📝 Idealmente le agregaría una ensalada o alimento con proteínas, animales o vegetales. Tal vez un corte tierno de cerdo o vacuno, o alguna legumbre que le podríamos sumar a la avena del rebozado, para hacer una prote de 1️⃣0️⃣!

OMG. You guys!! How do you stop eating G R A P E S ?! 🍇 I’m serious! 🤨 I don’t have this issue with any other food but it’s like once I start eating #grapes 🍇 I don’t want to stop until they’re done 🤷🏻♀️.
It’s not a huge deal. I’m ok with eating all the GRAPES 🍇 but my girls love them too and they’re going to want some tomorrow morning and I’m going to have to break the news 😬.

Pasta With Pesto (Serves 4)
250 grams cooked pasta
6 cup mushrooms, halved
1/2 red capsicum, cut into bite size pieces
1/4 butternut pumpkin, peeled and cut into bite size pieces
6 brussel sprouts
1 whole brown onion, peeled and cut into bite size pieces
A few dashes of pepper
A few dashes of onion powder
A few dashes of garlic powder
A few dashes of cayenne pepper
A few dashes of paprika
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/3 cup pinenuts
A handful of chopped basil leaves
4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
A dash of salt
A dash of onion powder
A dash of cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons of nutritional yeast
4 tablespoons of water
1 tablespoon olive oil
Juice of 1/4 lemon
400 grams cooked chickpeas
6 green beans, sliced
1/2 broccoli, cut into florets and halved
Mix B) on baking tray and transfer to oven for 30 minutes @ 200 C.
For D), cook all ingredients until broccoli turns dark green. Add A), B), and C. Mix well and serve.
