"NET CARBS" can fob off. • Ok, so I'm sure a bunch of you fitness junkies love a good quest bar, sure, why not they are a good little protein snack that you can enjoy "gUilT FrEe" • What bugs me, (other than the concept of being told to feel guilty for eating some fuckin food) is this "Net Carb" bull. • Sure, these bars contain 14g of fibre, and fibre doesnt have an impact on your blood sugar as it doesn't absorb into the blood stream, and simply passes through your digestive system. BUT FIBRE HAS CALORIES just because it doesnt "sPiKe InSulIn" or it can't "Be stored as fat" is undermining your intelligence and feeding you excess CALORIES by acting like the carbohydrate content is all that matters. WRONG. This is just flagrant carb fear mongering to make more sales, pushing an idea that carbs are bad for you regardless of the calories.. Fuck mate fibre IS A CARB. carbs My wonderful boyfriend made a cameo in dinner tonight, and boy did he steal the show!!!! He made some of the best baked salmon I think I’ve ever had. 
I whipped up some spaghetti with béchamel sauce, truffle oil, yellow squash and sliced garlic. Don’t forget all the fresh basil in the garden!!! 🌿

Resistance training on the other hand not only burns calories, but helps maintain and build lean tissue which over time will actually boost your metabolism! This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t do cardio, but implementing a healthy amount of both may prove more optimal.⁣

4️⃣ 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐄𝐚𝐭 “𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧”⁣

You can eat whatever you like, just not AS MUCH as you like 🤔

You could potentially just eat chocolate and still lose fat.

BUT there are 3  things you should think about

1. Is this food making it harder or easier to stick to your calorie goals? - does it keep you full? Is it helping you to not overeat?

2. Is this food providing me with essential nutrients? - Remember that fat loss and health are not always intertwined. Just because you could lose weight eating nothing but nutritionally void foods, doesn’t mean you should. Especially if optimal health is important to you.

3. Does it help you adhere long term?

Health is more complex and goes beyond just your diet. Do you think it’s psychologically/socially healthy to say no to every meal with friends because the foods may not be perfect? I’d say no, but then that is up to you to decide!

Balance isn't always that clear and that's mainly because it’s kinda vague and we’re pretty shit at moderation. Finding a path that can help you stick to a “diet” or a way of eating is key.

This external rotation is essentially hip abduction. I had my sister over for dinner and we both loved this meal before going to see Lion King 😍 You can make it in either the Instant Pot or crockpot with minimal effort.

Recipe:
-4 small chicken breasts (cut into small cubes)
-2 Tbsp butter
-1 tsp dried basil
-1/2 tsp garlic powder
-2 cups unsalted chicken broth
-1/2 package of cream cheese (4 oz)
-1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-1/2 of a small bag of sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
-1/4 tsp pepper
-2 2/3 cups (8 oz) penne pasta
-3/4 cup skim milk
-3 cups spinach

Instant Pot:
1. Add the chicken, basil, garlic powder, butter, broth and pasta. Set to sealing and cook on manual for 3 minutes. 
2. Let it natural release for 5 minutes, then change to venting. 
3. Switch to the sauté function and stir in the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, pepper, milk and spinach.

Crockpot:
1. Add the chicken, basil, garlic powder, butter, and broth. Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
2. Stir in cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, pepper, milk, and spinach. 
3. Cook pasta noodles separately, then serve the rest of the mix over it.
