I’ve had a hard time posting lately, because this bottomless pit of mine is very impatient! 😂
For dinner last night he had lentil & chickpea pasta with butter, roasted zucchini, and roasted sweet potato. He ate ALL of this, plus more zucchini, some avocado and some Cheerios. He certainly had a big appetite for a little guy! .

This last couple of days have been hit or miss with meals for Miss A. Either loves them or hates them. No in between. Definitely teething. So yoghurt has been a clear winner if all else fails. Which I'm totally fine with.
But tried overnight oats to see if that would fill her up fuller for longer. She is having a growth spurt this week so hangry makes a regular appearance.
And what do you know? Overnight oats were yummy. Well, Miss A thinks so. I'm still sitting on the fence about them.
Is there something that you eat in front of your child so they will eat it, but you aren't a fan???

Breakfast • strawberries • blueberry pancake muffin • avocado toast with everything bagel seasoning, on a bagel thin. She ate everything!
Lunch/snacks • peanut butter on whole wheat bread • cucumbers • @annieshomegrown cheddar bunnies • raisins • @babybelus cheese • raspberries in our @bentgo kids box. So the cheese ended up in the sand 👎🏻 and she was not into the raspberries. She ate everything else (minus a few cucumbers - which I offered again later) in two sittings.
Afternoon snack • strawberry banana smoothie.
Dinner • @perduechicken organic strips • @drpraegers broccoli littles • cucumbers • raspberries. So unfortunately dinner wasn’t ready in time for KR to eat with us so I had to resort to some freezer foods for her. She finished 3 “nuggets” and most of the cucumbers.

Easy breakfast today thanks to last night me prepping these oats so morning me was happy and don’t have to do much!
⭐️Banana & cinnamon “overnight oats” heated this morning
⭐️Toast with unsalted butter and homemade raspberry chia jam
Are you a fan of overnight oats? Seems that it’s a love or hate thing. I love them, but without yogurt and they HAVE to be warmed up. So basically I enjoy oats that are already prepared 😂
Banana overnight oats:
•1 1/2 cups milk of choice -I used @oatly
•1/3 cup quick cooking steel cut oats plus 1/3 cup rolled oats OR 2/3 rolled oats
•1 tbsp pure maple syrup (optional)
•2 small mashed bananas
•2 tsp flax meal
•1 tsp cinnamon (I like mine with lots of cinnamon! You can always start with less and add more to taste)
•Optional- add 1.5 tsp chia seeds
Mix all together and store in the fridge overnight. Heat in the morning. Or don’t if cold oats are your thing 😛

Real talk: I’ve been feeling food lazy lately. Now that I have these amazing muffin/cookies and egg muffins in the freezer this week is leftover week.
So Jaydes been eating a lot of cold, yet still yummy and healthy food.
We’re snacking hard over here on shredded chicken, leftover sweet potatoes, kale hummus from the freezer, leftover mushrooms, eggs, healthy muffin/cookies, and some kiwi.
Ya can’t always be fancy or make pretty meals- real life happens too.

I spread the lemon curd on the croissant for Toby and he ate it all. Practiced biting and tearing, it was lots of fun. .•Lunch•
🍗 Satay chicken leg 🍟 homemade chips 🥒 🍅 •
Toby napped while I made lunch and did some work. I marinated the chicken in a satay sauce, baked it in the oven for 20 minutes before finishing it off in the griddle. I torn some of the meat off for Toby and again we practiced biting - toby ate almost two chicken legs, the cucumber was thrown and he played with the tomato and chips •Dinner•

I normally don’t offer the same foods for dinner, but Toby did so well with the chicken earlier, I thought I’d try it again. It didn’t work 🤦🏼♀️ a little of the chicken was eaten, the veggies were thrown and he really didn’t want the jacket potato 💙💙💙

We have introduced breakfasts! We’ve had;
porridge - plain and with puréed raspberries
fruit - banana, blueberry, raspberry, melon and watermelon
toast - with unsalted butter or with spreads from @babyledfood_
Frozen yoghurt blobs remain a favourite!
A week after breakfasts we introduced lunch too. For the moment this will be a spoon fed purée rather than baby led meal. 3 BLW meals a day is time consuming while dad is at work between prep, the leisurely rate she’s eating at and clean up - it takes up the whole day and we have sleep to sort out so need to keep on track with naps. Will also be a bit easier and cleaner out and about through the day to give homemade or pouch purées.
Two days in and three meals per day combining BLW and traditional weaning seems to be going down well! 👍🏼 👶🏻 🤚🏻 🥘 🥄

Banana pancakes with banana, cherries, blueberries, strawberries; berry Greek yoghurt with chia seeds. She was in a playful mood today so we had lots of giggles at the breakfast table 😂
She started to use her fork today which is just amazing 😍 a lot of the food ended up in her @bibado bib but I just picked it up again and it was like a second breakfast 😂

It’s daddy’s day off today so we are off shopping, for some lunch and if we have time we may pop to soft play.
Couldn’t resist picking up these teddy crumpets when I popped in @morrisons yesterday - if you’ve been following this page for a while then you will know that I love finding different shaped ones 😂🙈
Joe loved his breakfast (he pointed to the teddy and said ‘dog’) and he ate everything.

Day 239! 🏡 First day in...I don’t even know how long...that Kennedy ate all of her meals at home!
Breakfast/morning snack • @cascadianfarm organic O’s • strawberries • homemade blueberry pancake muffin.
Muffin Recipe 👇🏼
1 cup pancake mix
1/2 cup milk
Extras - vanilla extract and fresh berries
Bake for ~10 min @ 350! Freeze leftovers.
Lunch take 1 • plum • almond butter sandwich. No pictures because we used a super secret new product we are helping to launch at the end of the month! 👏🏼 Kennedy’s teeth were bothering her - she winced/cried a few times so I made her a smoothie instead which she looooved. It is so important to be F L E X I B L E ! #blwtips So often we have an idea of how we WANT a meal to go, but it doesn’t always play out how we expect, and that’s okay!
Afternoon snack • @organicvalley string cheese.
Dinner • chicken chow mein with fresh ramen and stir fried vegetables ala @sunbasket. KR loved this meal! ▶️ I wasn’t expecting her best participation based on our lunch time fail but I refilled her bowl 3x! The veggies were zucchini, carrots, celery and scallions.
Anddd guess who forgot to do tiny cup practice again 🙋🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ wooops!
