Swimming among mangrove trees, Playa Mansa, Tortuga Bay, . Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. Tortuga Bay is ocated on the south side of Santa Cruz Island and has two beaches (which are the most popular beaches of the Galapagos Islands and one of the main attractions of Santa Cruz) seperated by Playa Peninsula. First you reach Playa Brava by 40 minutes (2Km) walk from Puerto Ayora’s western border, along a fairly flat and straight paved path lined with the Galapagos Giant Cactuses (Opuntia sp.), salt bushes and Palo Santo (Holy Stick) trees. There is also a water taxi option from Puerto Ayora. Playa Brava is a stunning 1km long snow-white beach, a seasonal nesting site for the green sea turtles. Swimming is prohibited at this beach because of dangerous currents. But I wasn't aware of this prohibition and I swam. I almost drowned while I was snorkelling. If you keep walking (to the right) a few minutes further, you can reach Playa Mansa, a secluded natural mangrove cove, with clear and tranquil waters, ideal for swimming, snorkelling, paddling on tandem kayaks, or simply enjoying the landscape from the shade of a mangrove. #tbt#mangrove#tortugabay#puertoayora#santacruzisland#galapagos#galapagosislands #ecuador#travelphotography#wanderlust#travelgram#instatravel#nofilter#beautifuldestinations#aroundtheworld#solotravel#roamtheplanet#letsgosomewhere#welltravelled#doyoutravel
OUR ARRIVAL AT THE CAPITAL: INSIDE TANÀ..🌾
I had read about Madagascar here and there…. The land that scattered away from the Gondwana Plate and took with it the gigantic dinosaurs.
Pirates where still living in the country!
My head and thoughts were all tangled. My eyes wide and shining. I felt again like an explorer.
Once landed we kept on hearing the name: Tanà. But where is this place. We just landed in Antananarivo …. I then understood that “Tanà” is the short way of calling the capital.
They speak French here. Very well. I can exercise it a bit. Malagasy…. I cannot speak it!
No taxis, only rishò! How wonderful!
It took us to the Hilton Hotel. We had free nights here, and as many we needed, as we had agreements with this chain of hotel due to the big numbers of customers we book in the Hilton around Africa.
The following morning, we were introduced to the director who had spoken with the director or the Ethiopian Hilton. He had advised us to add some more details to our list of priorities. He looked at me funny when i mentioned about pirates….
Even Marco agreed with him! “How can you possibly think there are still pirates in these waters!”
“Well, if there are, I want to meet them, if it is a fake news, I won’t find any”. But I have to give it a chance for me and my customers.
(to be continued..)

If you ever feel low that someone don't reciprocate or never ever notice your love and affection think about this Tomb and "Bega Begum".
Because years before Taj Mahal "Bega Begum" built this Beautiful Red Sandstone Tomb for his only husband "Humayun" and dedicated her life for construction of this monument and this fact is still least recognized just like the women's contribution in this world.
We need to change this world.
