What Your Skin Can Tell You About Your Way Of Life

Tip #1 – You Are Not Drinking Enough Water

You might be dehydrated and drinking too little water if you have very dry, flaky skin. If you have naturally dry skin, this obviously does not pertain to you. Your skin can become flaky, tight, and dry if you are not getting the right amount of water. Having that type of skin might be frustrating in its own right, but did you know that dry skin is far more prone to developing wrinkles? Make sure that you drink enough water and you should watch those problems disappear.

 

Tip #2 – You Are Not Getting Enough Sleep

Your eyes are the windows to the soul - you have probably heard that saying before. Your eyes are going to be telling the story if you are not getting enough sleep each night. You may find that dark circles and fine lines become more prevalent and your face becomes lackluster when you are not getting enough sleep. Strive for the recommended 7-8 hours of sleep, and you should notice a definite improvement.

 

Tip #3 – You Are Dealing With Too Much Stress

The amount of stress that you are currently dealing with might have something to do with the fact that your face or skin is experiencing a number of breakouts. Our bodies release cortisol (a hormone) when we experience a great deal of anxiety. This is what leads to those breakouts. If you notice acne or other skin problems on your skin for no reason, chances are that you might be under a great deal of stress.

 

Tip #4 – You May Have a Thyroid Problem

If you might notice that your skin has a slightly yellowish tint, it might be a thyroid problem that is causing the issue. Hypothyroidism (a problem with an underactive thyroid) can lead to there being too much beta-carotene in the blood. This leads to the strange skin color as we have mentioned it before.

 

Tip #5 – You Might Have Anemia

If you have always been pale, this should not matter to you. However, if you have only recently noticed that the life is literally drawing out of your skin, it might be because it is. Anemia means that you do not have enough red blood cells in your blood. This is one of the reasons that those who suffer from anemia might have a pale complexion.
