Canon printers with Wi-Fi system are simple to use, easy to configure, you can print your images directly from your smartphone with Wi-Fi, without unnecessary steps. If an image on Facebook interests you, in a few clicks you can comfortably get it at your home.
The Canon Pixma IP7250 color inkjet photo printer , for example, quickly creates high-quality photos and documents and is accessible from any connected device and from anywhere in the home.
BUT HOW DO YOU CONFIGURE THE CANON WI-FI PRINTER?
Setting up a Canon Wi-Fi printer is quick and easy.
To connect Wi-Fi to your Canon printer, make sure you have a device such as a smartphone, a pc, a tablet and a stable and functioning internet connection generated by an access point such as a router or hub.
Let's see for example how to connect the Canon Pixma IP7250 color inkjet Wi-Fi printer.
There are 2 systems, one with WPS, namely the Wi-Fi Protected Setup, one for devices without WPS.
CONFIGURE A CANON WI-FI PRINTER WITH WPS SYSTEM
If your access point has a WPS automatic connection button, the printers will be able to connect to the network without the need to enter a password, but it is necessary that the physical and functional WPS button exists and above all that the data connection uses the security protocol WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) or WPA2, as is usually the case with this type of method.
Then proceed as follows:
Turn on the printer and hold down the Wi-Fi button on the front of the device for a few seconds.
Once the button starts flashing blue, within 2 minutes press the WPS button on the access point. The blue light of the printer button will keep flashing until it searches for the Wi-Fi connection; once established, the light will no longer be intermittent, but will remain steadily on.
Now, if you want to be sure of the correct Wi-Fi configuration of the printer, you can print the network settings of the printer on an A4 sheet. This is possible by holding the Resume / Cancel button until the power indicator blinks 6 times, then the printer will create the document with the network information.
Finally, it is recommended that, with reference to printing, the name of the wireless connection (or better the SSID) is correct and that the Connection option indicates enable.
The installation procedure of the Wi-Fi printer with the WPS method is thus completed.
