Canada is becoming vastly popular as an ideal destination to study abroad for students who want to study in the best universities. The country can boast of being home to many locations of scenic beauty and a first world lifestyle. It is also has some of the best universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education (THE) and Quaracelli Symonds (QS) world rankings of educational institutions. We take a look at the top 5 universities, as selected by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for the current academic year - 2019.

1. University of Toronto (U of T)

This University of Toronto is a research-intensive university which offers a diverse and extensive field of study for its current as well as prospective students. The university offers more than 200 graduate and 700 undergraduate programs, which are considered to be amongst the best in the world. 5. University of Montréal

The University of Montréal is the only francophone university in the list. So, if you are keen on learning French or polishing your French skills while you study in Canada, then this could be an ideal university for you. The university was ranked 37th in the world for graduate employability for the previous year.

All the undergraduate programs at the university are instructed in French undergraduate programs can include French literature, art history, political science and psychology amongst others. Students who plan to take up a graduate course can choose between psychology, internal security, actuarial studies and others.
