How to Promote Your Ecommerce Website with Social Media

By Air

Want to build brand awareness, loyalty and drive sales to your Ecommerce website? Then you needn’t look any further than your social media channels.

In recent years, online retail has skyrocketed, and social growth doesn’t show any signs of slowing down either. Figures show that Global B2C Ecommerce sales are looking to reach $2.3 billion this year.

Here are some of the best ways you can advertise your business through the various social platforms.

Use Data to get Better Insights

Before you start delving into tweets, snaps and Instagram stories, you need to understand your customer. This research will save you time and money in the long run because your advertising will be more targeted. This is down to the fact that one type of user’s social media use or even platform can be much different to someone elses.

Start by asking some questions;

  • Who is your ideal customer?
  • What is their age?
  • What is/are their gender(s)?
  • Where do they live?
  • How educated are they?
  • Where do they spend their time?
  • What motivates them?
  • What’s their life like? Adventurous? Family-oriented?
  • Why do they want your product?
  • What convinces them to buy it?
  • Best Website Builder?

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but they are the essentials to understanding your audience and develop your targeting strategy.

Don’t Shy Away from Social Buying

Ecommerce and Social Commerce are a perfect match. Social Commerce is the ability to buy from a retailer without even leaving the app. Currently, Facebook is leading the way in the social buying scene, while its sister company Instagram isn’t far behind.

So, now you can make your social posts shoppable, meaning you can now turn engagement into immediate purchases.

Run Retargeting Campaigns

The Facebook Ads Pixel is a small snippet of code that tracks your customers’ behaviour on your site. You can run retargeting campaigns and target your visitors with general offers, vouchers, single and multi-product ads and more.

An astonishing 72% of online shoppers abandon their carts without completing their purchase. And without retargeting, only 8% at best come back to complete the purchase. However, with retargeting you could see 26% of them come back.

So, it goes without saying, if you are not retargeting your visitors you are missing out on sales.

Boosting your Ecommerce Presence

Social media and Affordable Website has long been a responsible for driving a lot of online retail success, and you should be employing these strategies into your Ecommerce business. By doing so, you can confidently advertise on social media and expect authentic, superior results.

Alternatively, if you already promote your business across multiple platforms, it might be worth considering an outside managed service that can target your audience even more effectively.

Google’s robotic calling service, which can have real conversations with real people to make appointments and reservations is getting its first small-scale public trial and will be calling businesses in the coming weeks. Google have not specified how many businesses would be contacted.

Google Duplex was premiered at the Google Developers’ conference in May and quickly became one of the most talked about demos of 2018. At the event, Duplex booked a table at a restaurant. It called up, spoke to a human member of staff and confirmed the details and the person on the other end of the phone did not know they weren’t talking to a human.

Even though the voice was synthesised, it was very convincing. The Google AI even added “uh-huh” and “hmm” to the flow of the conversation. Because it was so realistic, and the recipient wasn’t even aware that they were talking to a robot, this has caused debates about the rights and wrongs of this kind of use of Artificial Intelligence.
