Do not take effient if you are;

  • Allergic to any of effient’s ingredient or allergic to effient itself;

  • You are more likely to experience nose bleeds;
  • You will bruise and bleed more easily; and
  • It will take longer for any bleeding on your body to cease.

Always call your doctor right away if you experience any of the following signs of bleeding;

  • Pink or brown urine;
  • Bleeding that last longer and unexpected bleeding;
  • Red or black stool;
  • Cough up blood or blood clots;

Collette wrote on October 1, 2016 saying ‘’ after taking on my exams I had a heart surgery”. Everything is just too perfect concerning effient which the doctor prescribed for me; 5 mg daily. I have experienced no side effects up to date.’’

Reading from reviews of effient, Ohio49 wrote on August 29, 2011 saying ‘’I was really astonished experiencing a heart attack at 49. I was not smart enough to ask for help but immediately drove myself to the hospital. Do not worry yourself anymore for everyone has already yelled at me sufficiently for that stunt. I left the hospital with a renewed interest in healthy living and a brand new stent. Each morning I take the 10 mg dose and later take an aspirin in the evening before going to bed. Since I started taking effient, it’s been 9 full months and I have missed at most two dosses. Apart from bleeding more than I initially did when I was wounded, I noticed zero side effects of effient. I am still able to go hiking with my wife, play football with the church team and do the Scout master thing. The only side effect that turns to be significant is the cuts bleeding rate and durability. Apart from this I find effient really great and helpful.’’

Negative Effient Reviews

Still on effient reviews, Ivyannalyne wrote on December 27, 2015 saying ‘’I have had trouble controlling my bp ever since I started taking this drug. I recently started another bp medication in addition to the two I was already being administered. The dosage has increased. My last bp this morning was 135/100. I still get the pounding in my ears and severe headache. I also have bruise all over myself that I cannot explain. I would definitely be calling my doctor to check an alternative.’’

Still on effient reviews, a patient by name BipinDeshmukh leaving in India wrote on January 16, 2015 saying ‘’I underwent Coronary Angioplasty on 23rd June 2013. I am having a single stent in my heart. I receive effient 10 mg daily. In the morning I took it with aspirin 150 mg. Since I started taking it, I have never experienced any side effects. I walk 6km daily in about 45 minutes.’’

A patient by name Krisncraig3 wrote on November 8, 2013 saying ‘’On April 1st 2013 I woke up very tired with severe chest pain. I moved to the hospital just to notice that I was having a heart attack. Presently I am having 5 stents in my heart. Since I started taking effient, I have experienced only slight side effects. However, in the last 5 months I have gained 40Ibs. Has anyone had this same problem?’’

A patient by name Ceriset wrote on May 20, 2013 saying ‘’Even though I come from a family with no heart disease, I was surprised to have two heart attacks. They resulted from the inflammation caused by Sjogren’s syndrome. I find effient really great. It has kept me from having another heat attack. But bleeding from even a pinhole cut can last for up to 12 hours. The blood tries to clot but instead stays jelly-like rather than completely cloting. Even though I am covered with bruises, I am already used to that. I am just so happy still being alive and taking this meds.’’

Another patient named Anonymous wrote on September 24, 2012 listing the effient side effects experienced ‘’bruising, tiredness, back pain, and bleeding.

Anonymous wrote on April 4, 2011 saying ‘’I am just from completing a whole year of effient use without experiencing any trouble apart from bruises I get from lifting weights or doing aggressive exercises. I had 2 stints separated on each side of my heart.The right side initially with clots and 98% blockage whereas the second long stint on left side 4 days later too fix for good. I did not really experience any major problems. Things are perfect now.’’
